So this "Rogue Trader" thing apparently has nothing to do with Sarbanes-Oxley

I've been having this casual thing with this intern chap from down the street. (Not OUR intern. That doesn't actually fly here.) Anyway, at one point I casually ask whey he won't schedule anything on Saturdays, and I can immediately tell he doesn't want to say anything. So I yank his chain a bit, and eventually he says he has a "role playing group." When I express surprise at not being invited, he looks even more confused. Turns out this version of roleplaying has nothing to do with "I'm a bad girl who needs smiting."

So apparently he goes to this other fellow's apartment, with some other people, and they roll dice, and things? Anyway, I'm going next Saturday. Anyone know about this? How do I win? More importantly, how do I dress? I mean, there's informal and then there's informal and then there's handcuffs, you know?

A shame they're the weakest faction in the setting though.
I'm not so sure about that. if you take each faction to be its own entity without considering any allies it might have, e.g Space Marines without the rest of the Imperium to back them up, after the latest lore addition I'd say Sisters might be the weakest. Didn't something like 20% of all Sororitas everywhere get wiped out in the latest codex?

I have no idea. I don't really pay that much attention to 5th ed. I get my fluff shots from the 40k RPGs.

Yeah, I don't really like how the codex fluff has been handled lately. It started when Khorne went from being a god of war in all of its aspects, including industry and technology, to being a mindless psychopath incapable of more complex thought than BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE.

The RPG fluff is great though, especially the stuff Black Crusade. Less over-the-top grimdark for the sake of grimdark, more complexity.

Thats because Black Crusade Chaos is portrayed more like Chaos is in WHFB.

I've heard WHFB does a lot of things better than 40k, including the lore, but for some reason I never get around to learning more about it.

Oh, I don't really play, but I've always loved the Tau. The idea of a race that doesn't have magic and they countered it with science is pretty nifty.
I was going to say tau science was shit tier.
And necrons where the real lol science.
But fuck that, 40k cannot in to science properly, that's what happen when half of your dev team is a sorcerer.

WHFB and 40k are not inherently better than one or the other. It's just what you prefer. Though, as far as fantasy universe go WHFB is fucking awesome.

I like the universe the setting of whfb is in. Seriously, low magic kicks ass. Though I can understand how minotaurs and beastmen feel a little miffed at how they are represented. That, and the goblinoids- genderless beings made of fungus? No wonder a lot of activists are against it.

No offense to Dan or Eva(if she happens to be reading this). But those are some proper goddamn hardcore Vampires. They make the real ones look like pussies.
