I do not have a "hobby" of sorts as I am unable to enjoy things since my raising, yet this seems the right place to adress this. For me there is only my work, and with my work come my weapons. My rune weapon is a claidheamh mòr which The Master had claimed from a Scottish nobleman. During the centuries I have collected many weapons, and have learned to forge them myself. Unfortunately they have significantly lost use over the centuries, and everyone uses firearms now. Do any of you have knowledge about projectileless weapons, either their use or their forging? |

My vorpal Mighty cleaving flaming acid ice shocking dagger. It's hilarious to use it. Or that is what i suppose... I never actually used it. Or my wizard staff. |

I am trained in a few styles of swordfighting and of course knifefighting from my military training but my favorite melee weapon has to be the norse hóggspjót. It stabs, it cuts and it's as quick as a rapier but you've got 2.5m reach-ish. I love it to bits but, it's sadly rather impractical in this day and age so I rarely get to use it other than to show off. |

I carried a polearm with me for a few decades. The damage you can deal to a single victim when charging on horseback is enough to kill most unarmored targets, but it only works when you have enough space to move. On foot I prefer other weapons. My standard sidearm is a Chinese Zhanmadao, the Reaper of Horses. It's got a long handle to suprise targets with sudden fast movements, and has enough power to relieve a charging horse of its legs in a single blow. And I carry a knife at all times: a Cinquedea. It's an Italian-made long dagger with a very wide base, designed for swift thrusting moves. I've experimented with a number of other weapons as well. I own a pair of fighting picks who are perfect pierce armor, yet deal limited damage compared to a sword. I've tried a one-edged battleaxe, but found it to have a limited killing edge. Hammers and maces are killing when striking a target's head, but somewhat lacking against other locations or certain monsters. And I've never liked firearms. |

Well, I have a Bowie knife that I got courtesy of Bloodrage. I can't really fight with it, since my fighting style could be best described as "run or get my ass kicked until help arrives". But it can light on fire and be used to teleport, which is cool. |

Eva's got a heirloom flaming scimitar blessed by Sarenrae, Julia's got a sword with some neat card powers as part of her suit, and I've got magic. |

I know you've mentioned you can shoot, but you should learn some form of closequarters style. Magic isn't the be all and end all of combat you know. |
