I do not have a "hobby" of sorts as I am unable to enjoy things since my raising, yet this seems the right place to adress this. For me there is only my work, and with my work come my weapons. My rune weapon is a claidheamh mòr which The Master had claimed from a Scottish nobleman. During the centuries I have collected many weapons, and have learned to forge them myself. Unfortunately they have significantly lost use over the centuries, and everyone uses firearms now.

Do any of you have knowledge about projectileless weapons, either their use or their forging?

There's a certain charm to having a blade attuned to your essence, which you can summon or dismiss with a thought and reshape to suit your needs.

I'll be trying on a suit of Armor of Faith soon, so if that's fireproof, maybe I can help out as well.

No armor needed here.
:D

Yay random people on the internet have promised me hugs! Now get over here and hug me!

I could do more than hug you if you'd like.
While I'm not necessarily opposed to the idea of ladyfun, I'd prefer a guy instead, and definitely someone who doesn't already have a harem to overshadow me.

Though somewhat on the original topic: seeing Pandamoium having joined this forum is making me think of getting back into crafting a bit, any suggestions for either getting new equipment (it's been awhile) and the like? Or any specific requests of what I should try to enchant my first weapon with? (I'm thinking of making a simple dagger to start with. Maybe a spear.)
We hand-make most of our equipment, the rest we buy from various companies, De Walt and the like.

@Esk:
I'd suggest. Starting with a dresser, then add a few enchantments. Elven dressers, while lacking the study construction of dwarfs or the squamous designs of the Ithillids, is a nice middle ground.

I could also hug you. I can posses the external qualities of stone.

Oh well, anyway though, then it's good to know the old furnance, anvil, hammer, tongs, and odd spell are still viable. I've been seeing some smiths demonstrate on things a few other forums and video sites, and they tend to have quite a bit of intricate equipment.

@Faux
Ahaha! I more meant potions, enchanted weapons, and magical equipment, but furniture, there's always time for new ventures.

Wow, I've been finding myself active in quite a different way than usual. I picked up those books Frosty mentioned, at least the translation, still looking for the original Scandinavian so I can also get a decent idea of the contexts within language.

My favorite weapon is a nice double-headed war axe, bronze, enchanted with magic runes to make it more or less indestructible. Not like I need to worry about defense, really, and it makes people pause. It was a gift, actually, from a Scotsman I worked with on a dragon-killing job around the 1000s (The first person to make a highlander joke will be stabbed).
