I was rather surprised to find there wasn't a thread about video games here already, so I decided to make one. So, to start it off; What kind of games do you usually play when you've got nothing better to do? Recently, I've played through the Baldurs Gate series again, which has to be my all time favorite rpg series. Ever. I find the alternate universe setting interesting(despite it's retarded morality system) and the characters are fantastically written. Except Imoen. tl;dr General video game discussio GO! |

Well, a brotip from me(and a minor spoiler) Spoiler: click to toggle In general, the last fifteen minutes of the game is Bioware taking a massive projectile shit over the entire series. |

That's because everyone else was also playing ME3, myself included. I finished it in about 35 hours, not counting multiplayer. The game was amazing until the ending. It did everything right up until the last mission. It says something that even though my computer was having issues where the game would start slideshowing every 5 to 10 minutes, and I'd have to wait for it to go away or quick-save then quick-load to get it to fix itself, and I still played through the entire thing. I would have called it one of the best games of the past couple years, even with the ghost child nightmares where you run really slowly, because for one of the only times I can remember in a game, I actually deeply cared about the choices I was making, and I had to compromise and not everything went the way I wanted it to. Then the ending ruined all of that. I recommend shutting it off right after Mass Effect 3 Minor Ending Spoiler It really goes downhill from there. They provide three endings, and none of them are any good, or properly explained, and are mostly minor edits of each other. It's almost insulting. That said, the multiplayer is actually a lot of fun. |

Can't say I've tried the multiplayer. I refuse to install Origin on my computer. That said, ManShep or FemShep? I've played FemShep Paragon since the first game, romanced nobody. And by the gods did she look lonely in ME3. |

LooShep. The default male Shepard. Anything different would just feel... off. And who did you guys romance? I went with Ashley in the first, and went with everyone's favorite waifu Tali in the second and third. |

So is that like the Halos and Modern Duties that boys have gotten fixated on in the last eight years or so? |

In essence yes. Though the Mass Effect series started out as a shooter with rpg elements, with a story and setting that is a homage to 80's sci-fi. But it became a lot more similar to big name mainstream shooters as the series progressed. |

I've never played any Mass Effect games. For some reason, I find third-person shooters impossible to play. Something about the way I'm not looking directly at what I'm aiming at is incredibly disorienting to me. Maybe it's just something you have to get used to, but I've never been able to do so, though admittedly most third-person shooters don't really seem worth the time to get used to. Even without Mass Effect 3 though, I've been pretty busy as well with Yukari's project, which I'm still working on, even though at the moment we aren't really speaking to each other. I'm not angry with her anymore to be honest, I just need a break from her. She's really quite nice, but she's also kind of difficult to be around for long periods of time. |

I played custom male Shepard, fairly balanced morally but leaning towards renegade. I romanced no one in ME1, Tali in 2 & 3. She is incredibly adorable. Just goes to show looks don't really matter, as you never see an inch of Tali's skin, yet she's one of the most popular romance options. |

And then we got to see what she looks like. Like a photoshopped stock photo. |
