All members of the game are expected to abide by the following rules. These are not meant to be punitive or authoritarian, but to make the game as fun as possible for everyone and to ensure good, realistic play. OOC (Out of Character) Actions - Discourse is to be civil and appropriate for a PG rated forum. The allowance of certain topics or other manners of talk will be decided by the administrators and subject to their discretion. The standard Zetaboards rules on improper material also apply. - Out of Character messages are generally not to be posted in In Character area. There are the Out of Character forums and private message system for these situations. - Disputes about improper game actions (for instance, a player doing something unrealistic or an event being mishandled) should be brought to the attention of a staff member via private message. - Do not engage in out of character pacts, backstabbing, personal vendettas and gossip. Planning strategy together with your friends and allies is fine, but remember it's a historical simulator -- you can't declare war on somebody just because you don't like that person. IC (In Character) Roleplay - Foreign affairs, diplomatic negotiations and public posts should be done in the fashion, manners and language of the time. - Do not play the game as you would Risk. If you want to ally with your neighbors and take over the entire world, try CyberNations or Victoria. - Try not to rush events or decisions out of context to what can be done at the time. It takes time for certain things to progress, and this is one of the fun aspects of the game. |
