So we have quite a few F1 fans in the region now, what is everyone's opinion of the 2012 title fight? Who will win?

Was Lewis Hamilton right to turn his back on the team that spotted him at 13 years old. Giving him the finances to actually make it into F1?

Is Michael Schumacher really the 4th greatest driver of all time?

This answer will probably never be answered here, but at least we can have a good debate about them anyway.

I think, Lewis was well within hs rights to seek new pastures - new team - new challenges. Of course, there was probably a lot of internal politics involved but meh. I'm sure Perez will eventually be just as successful if not more so.

MS just suffers from old age.

Kimi <3 He's doing so well, he's always been my favourite too so I was really happy to see him return to F1. I hope Lotus keeps giving him awesome.

I'm not a fan of Lewis one bit. But Mclaren are a good team and with Button and Perez, (two drivers very light on their tyres) I can see them being a serious threat again since they no longer have to balance the car to suit Lewis and Button.

As for Kimi he's a brilliant driver and like him a lot. I wouldn't mind if he won this year, but not having won a race since his comeback I can't see him taking the overall.

Schumacher, the BBC do a top 20 greatest driver and every GP they reveal a new driver. The Indian Grand Prix they put Michael as the 4th greatest of all time. Is that right though? He holds all the records and won 7 world titles.

They haven't done them yet. New one is announced before every race. So should be 3 left. Fango, Senna and I'm not sure who else is left.

So looks like Jim Clark has been voted in as the 3rd greatest driver of all time.

I dont think lewis wil be a serious contender now he is in a Mercades the reason is contract is up and Jenson button has well showed him up.Michel Schmacher stats wise is the greatest driver of all time and he should have never have come back and I think Kimi should within with a shot of the title next year if they develop it right and has for this years title well for the thrid year in a row its gonna be red bull.

I'm glad Schumacher did come back to be honest, he showed a much more human character and became extremely likeable as a result (a few exceptions the Rubens incident being one).

I agree Lewis is overrated. I never liked Button until recently but he's been very funny in his interviews and am coming around to him. Mercedes wont be competitive next year so it is a strange move, to go from the fastest team (up until Singapore) to a team that is now struggling to get inside the top ten.

Big fan of Vettel though and just shows if you give him the fastest car he will deliver regularly without fail unlike his competitors. Also shows he is a good driver that he was able to stay close to the Championship leader and then really putting the hammer down when the car is good. Just a shame Vettel will never get the credit he deserves.

I think this season speaks more for Alonso's ability than Vettel's.

Vettel coming back in the latter half of the season wasn't a question of will he? It was a question of when. That's the situation Ferrari are in.

Why does no one rate Vettel? Does he have to win every single Championship for the next 6 years before he'll be rated?

Mclaren this season have had the best car, it's only until the last few races have they not. Alonso probably has the 4th best car, behind Mclaren, Red Bull, Lotus/Mercedes depending on circuit, yet Alonso has been able to really pick up points everywhere and is an extremely talented driver.

Shame Kimi hasn't picked up a win though.

I didn't say Vettel isn't a great driver.

I'm just saying that atm this isn't necessarily proving Vettel is greater than great. He has his moments - and he'll have more moments, and then one day he'll mature and probably be dominant because of himself and not the superiority of red bull.

Mind you, I'm saying that if Vettel was in the Ferrari and Alonso in Red Bull - we might not see as mature a performance from Vettel - but having said this he'll still be up there.

Well, you'd have compare Alonso at 25 with Vettel at 25. As Alonso has matured greatly since leaving Renault (even in Renault he was pretty mature).

Alonso had Schumacher to beat in his prime, in a pretty evenly matched car, while Vettel has Alonso, Button, Hamilton, Kimi and Webber (in the same car). Admittedly Vettel for the most part has a better car particularly in 2011 than his opponents, and only just won in 2010 after Alonso blew his strategy. I still rate Vettel ahead of Alonso but they are very evenly matched.

Had it been the other way round Alonso at 32 in a Red Bull, with Vettel at 25 in a Ferrari, it wouldn't be as close as it is now, I doubt Alonso would of overtaken Button at Hockenheim causing him to get a 20 second penalty dropping him from 2nd to 5th unlike Vettel. I doubt Vettel could of picked up some of the points Alonso has as well. Likewise Alonso wouldn't have been able pick up some of those wins that Vettel has. Dictating the pace of his opposition and just maintaining a gap. Alonso doesn't quite have that same ability. He instead would be stuck in a dogfight with Lewis/Button/Webber/Vettel which is where he is strongest. I imagine most of the time he'd come out on top, but not always.

So Vettel gets demoted to the back of the grid. Hope he can bring it back and get some solid points and not lose too much ground to Alonso.

Glad that Vettel proved he can't overtake coming from the back of the grid, then getting to 13th making a mistake demoted to the back of the grid then finishing 3rd.

Shame he can't overtake not sure how he did it....

Oh but Kimi won I was very pleased about that his radio conversations were awesome
