I feel we should elect a rabbit, they are the purest of all.

Righto, then. I HAD actually considered the idea before that comment - and the comment was, perhaps, intended to be flippant.

Nonetheless, I think I'd make a more-than-adequate (at least) White Wizard.

I was around for the writing of the Constitution - and had more than a little input into the general structure of the government.
Legislatively, elsewhere, I've been Secretary of the AWP Senate, and several times Speaker of the FRA's Regional Assembly. I think it's safe to say I can read and write a clear law.

"Why, then," I hear voices calling, "does the Constitution here have such holes in it?"
- simple. It was DESIGNED TO.
No, I'm not kidding. Mordor has a distinctively different flavor of government. Keep in mind, we've based our region around one of the most absolute evils in fiction. The whole intent of the Constitution was to ENCOURAGE a small amount of corruption, featherbedding, influence-peddling, and so on. The Constitution was kept as simple as possible, to lay out a government in a short period of time. The framers assumed the Nazgul would close loopholes over time - we didn't realize the Nazgul would have ... um... quite as much difficulty as they have in getting the ball rolling. :D We expected and even anticipated with some glee a few loopholes being found and quietly exploited until they were amended.

Aule for WW and Nazgul wasn't exactly a surprise. Sauron the Dark lord running for Saruman? Okay, perhaps I shouldn't have been, but that one caught me off guard.

So, long story short (too late, I know):

Serious reasons to consider me for Saruman:
Skills at improvisational organization; generally fairly easy going (capable of lowering the boom when necessary);, good at finding, exploiting, and closing loopholes in law.

Entertaining reasons to consider me for Saruman:
Rabid. Bunny. Rabbit.
:precious:

Welcome to the race Mr Wibblefeet.

Do you have any grand visions for Mordor? What do you see the role of the White Wizard as?

Grand Visions? Sorry, none here. Mordor is still growing, I think it needs to be given it's head (within limits) and see just what this community turns into.

The White Wizard Is a Leader of the region who is chosen by the people. the Dark Lord is sort of - inheritied, along with the region. "You move into mordor, you accept there will be a Sauron" The people have a choice in who they want for White Wizard, and I think it's important to keep the Denizens of the region in mind. The White Wizard shares most of the duties of Sauron, one way or another, is directly responsible for Constitutional Amendments (as he MUST sign them for them to go into effect), and appoints nearly half of the Council.

I would suggest legislation to the Council, and seek to influence debate and progress in the Council in a POSITIVE direction. Aule was an upstanding White Wizard, very respectable. I'd like to continue the idea that the position is worthy of respect, but I'd also try to be a bit more entertaining, all things considered. :D
