What's your hobby? Passion?

Not sure I have a SINGLE passion. I get excessively, OBSESSIVELY interested in something, for anything from a month to several years. The things I mentioned here are things I'm still interested in, years later. But I don't pursue them as avidly as i did when I discovered them.

I consider this a good thing, since I'm always thinking of something new. Keeps me flexible, mentally. Or at least not ossified, like some of my contemporaries.

Algebra can give different answers to the same question, Quadratic Equations are an example of this.
Not really. In such equations the variable has two solutions, but the correct answer is always to find those two.

When does education begin where you are from?

At the age of 6. Some kids go to kindergarten a year before though, but you would be lucky to come out of there knowing how to write your own name.

:P

Christian theology, ancient history, anthropology, sociology and reading for me. I never pursued them in my secondary school and my degree, unfortunately. Family objection (including my extended family).

Reading is my passion as I can read a good book right up to the next morning without sleeping. And I can't be bothered with eating or housework too once I'm absorbed in reading. I am in my own world.

I love programming and math!

I mainly program using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery, but I also work a lot with TI-Basic (one of my faves). In fact, if you want to see my projects that I have done/working on, you can find them here. I am the developer, Emmy.

I love math. I was a top scorer last year in our division on the math team. I have never missed a single math meet. I am in precalc right now, but that is just because they wouldn't let me test out of it. I wanted to test out since its all really easy and get into calculus, but no-the school system is stupid.

Swimming!
It's the only time I get a clear head while I'm counting the lengths up to a few kilometres. The pain afterwards is wonderful. It's the only sport I can do... but still not well :P I currently swim 2-3 times a week and over the week I cover between 6km and 8km. So not a serious swimmer by any means.

I play board games. I love Dominion, Agricola, Puerto Rico, Carcassonne, Alhambra, and Zombie Dice. I like the mechanisms behind games even though I rarely win :P

I thought you said Emma at first, and I was like hey that person might be the same who made Vilja mod for Oblivion/Skyrim!

Writing is my main passion. It is what I hope to one day do for a living. I have a few things online, but most of them are too esoteric to show to people outside my small main social group, and what remains are oddities and oldies. My main two works in progress are a sci-fi/detective novel series and a medieval fantasy comedy drama comic series. I spend most my day developing the world of the comic, sadly for me an unproven writer isn't going to easily find a good artist to work with. I have the perfect neutral and detached mind for a writer, as I tend to see even myself as just a character in a work of fiction and have an odd apathy towards my own existence.

Another passion of mine is linguistics. I'm a backwater country gal, so I talk incredibly casual and my active vocabulary is actually pretty small. So while it isn't apparent immediately, I do actually know lots about words. While most teenagers were discovering a love of the opposite sex, I discovered that I really love words. I love playing with them, slightly changing them to make new words, rhyming, alliteration, palindromes, all that good stuff. Sometimes I just start listing off vaguely related words, Its stupid, but I'm a slave to it. I'm also obsessed with accents and the many idiosyncrasies different types of speakers have in different languages. Language is just too interesting.

My last passion is herpetology, which is the study of reptiles and amphibians. For me this mainly concerns frogs. Frogs are the most adorable and interesting creatures on the planet, and they both fascinate me and warm my dead dead heart.

Hobbies include: Video Games (Mostly anything tactical or strategic), composing and sometimes playing shitty music, Baseball, history, various space related sciences, arguing about inane shit, and dividing things by 5.

I like swimming too! I swim 6 days a week, and swim for the club in my borough. I guess you could say I am a very serious swimmer
