Anyone love to program? Like to write lines of code and watch the result appear?

Well, here is the place for you. It doesn't matter if you are into HTML and CSS or Python, there is discussion to be had.

What kind of discussion have we here? Is it to discuss codes and modifications to ZB forums, to discuss something like Project Euler, or something entirely different?

I'm an amateur coder with about two years of experience primarily in Java, though I do some Python and HTML/CSS/Javascript.

The discussion is who knows how to program and what languages. From there, we can have debates about which language is best and share projects and ideas. While we can discuss ZB stuff if you wish, we don't have to. Its really to discuss whatever you want.

I mostly do HTML, CSS, and a lot of JavaScript. I also do a lot of the TI-BASIC language on my calculator (easiest language ever).

TI-BASIC! YES! :wop:

I love TI-BASIC. I was able to prove my algebra teacher wrong about a problem involving infinite tetration by running a "for" loop 250 times, and therefore ended up with an A in his class :P It's also super useful to know in programming random equations in to save time on tests.

I love using Java (well I use Processing, but same thing) to do basic 3-D game programming. I'm taking a course on that, though I think I'm in over my head with 4-D matrices to place objects in the 3-D space and all the shading and sensing equations. Still, Processing is the way to go.

Unfortunately, I can only do basic HTML/CSS/Javascript stuff. When I need to do it, I usually pull most of my code from some other source and modify it as needed. I just programmed a basic tax calculator for UK to use in calculating progressive tax rates, but most of the code I see online is way more than I can do in any language.

Also, since I can never seem to find a good explanation: what exactly is SQL, and what's the difference between that and PHP?

I love TI-BASIC too! I made a giant data base of everything you need to know using a series of menus. Basically, I have every equation I need for my tests!

I am around intermediate HTMl+CSS+JavaScript, but I am getting better!

I really have not done too much Java yet. There is still a month of summer!

I actually do not know the difference between SQL and PHP.
