![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56hF_PGGwzY A demo of something I've been working on... what's with the high crit rate in DW1 GBC? Encounter rate is also really weird, usually bordering on bad in the "where the hell are my encounters?" type of way... I'm shocked how many steps some of the Metaly encounters would require, on mountains no less. Overall, pretty darn good considering it took under 30 attempts. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDrP4l4fo60 Mad Knight... at Level 11. He only has enough MP to use Sleep twice. He has 67 HP, sadly, meaning it is possible 4 Firebals do not kill him. Any combination of the following (barring dodges, which I don't think can happen, but I thought it would be worth it to mention) for the first three turns has to happen: Attack (you'll live, I don't think enemies can crit) Sleep (miss) Sleep (miss) The fourth turn? You have to go first. No exceptions. Nevertheless, it isn't that bad. Running in Domdora, if necessary, is pretty hopeless. But at least try to run if it comes to it. Once again though, the lolRNG for random battles didn't even give me one in Domdora. I hope this isn't like karma and I'm going to have a battle every step in DracoLord's castle... The Equip menu is laggy as hell. I thought it was just the emulator but then I booted up the real game and... yes, it's very slow. Takes awhile before you can press Down to other equipment (Loto Armor, in this case). Conveniently I got to Level 12. Which gives 8 (!!!) STR, due to my name. Nice! Well I don't know if you'll ever read this but I'll post anyway! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLP1Tt7KTU4 DW2 speedrun. Too many projects at once, oh well. Very interesting stuff. Got all party members at level 1... and as a level 1 party, BEAT A METALY ENCOUNTER!!! |

That's always a nice thing to see. Metaly encounter's tend to be a bit chaotic. One thing I do like, is how long they stick around in DQ2 compared to their DQ3 counterparts. |

Definitely. I guess in DW1/2, they thought they were a rare enough encounter (not sure why, at least for Metalys. They seem to be a pretty good 20-25% chance in their areas in both games), and hard enough to damage (again, not sure why, the damage engine ESPECIALLY for DW2 favors 1 damage almost all of the time over 0/miss) that they didn't need to be especially flee-happy. I'll upload the Wind Tower, getting the Boat, and some miscellaneous necessary events afterward. The Silver Key isn't necessary for completion, though it could be helpful as you need it to get the Bolt Wand which is a free 19k gold. |

Been awhile, I know. Lack of updates because I got really angry with a terrible desync eliminating... three Metabble kills and a Magic Hat drop. Yes. Not joking. Re-routing a bit... I MIGHT get the Silver Key and thus Bolt Wand for the easy 19k Gold. It would allow me to get a Light Sword for either of the two heroes, which is incredible. Probably PoC, he practically needs life support. |
