After all, we are a role-playing focused community. So, where are we going to start and what sort of story do we want to put together?

Everybeast feel free to toss in your thoughts, wot! lol

Sorry for stealing your thunder, General, but, you take too long. xD

Any limitations on what the plot can be about? Within reason of course.

None at all, friend. We're pretty open about things (quoting you: within reason of course).

What we mainly ask for forum-wide plots is that they be kept very traditional, ex. as close to the way Brian Jacques wrote them. *salutes* Out of respect, of course. *smiles*

Once there's an established main-plot then I'd be more than happy to let folks organize their own side-plots with less traditional arcs.

For now, I've absolutely no idea what sort of plot I'd enjoy to write in. Obviously I'll bring Tyrra in as Badger Lady, but the main arc by no way has to include her or Salamandastron. My hares and I are quite versatile in the roles we can play. *smiles gently*

*wide grin* Oh excellent, I'll post my plot proposal later this afternoon. It was originally made as a backstory for my characters, but greatly expanded on now. Up for voyages to far away besieged lands to face a vast common foe?

Mossflower lies in peace. Nothing beyond the usual marauding bands of vermin plague its inhabitants now, the threat of vast hordes being a thing of the past. Redwall's door lay open to all beasts, drawn in by the wafting scent of delicious feasts and the laughters of comradeship. On the western shore, the mighty fortress of Salamandastron with a full contingent of Long Patrol hares and led by a powerful Badger lady guards the country from all threats that may be. But of course, what would our story be without impending danger?

Far, far to the south beyond the sight of Southsward lay the Southern Isles, and the epicentre of our story. On one island, the proclaimed wildcat Patriarch, sovereign of all cats, is forced into exile. Their cities sacked and soldiers crushed under the invading hordes of the wolverine, Vara Schvall and his wolf generals. Crushed and humilated, the wildcat lord flees north, sailing towards unknown Mossflower shores, hoping to find regain his strength and return to his homeland.

On the other island, the situation lies grim. Ruled by proud Marten nobility, they have relinquished over three quarters of their island to the wolverine and his vast host. Now it is a stalemate, and only a matter of time before the wolverine makes a final push to destroy the southern army and take all they own. Inconsequential perhaps, to the distant shores of Mossflower? But it is not so.

From the south, a vermin horde is marching, one thousand strong. Ragged, weary, tired, but eyes alight with a thirst for power and blood. They are led by the flint-eyed merciless but brilliant general known only as The Sable. They are at a rest now, weary and recovering from their long march. Few know where they come from, few know the truth, that The Sable answers to Vara Schvall. They are his advance force, sent to establish a presence in Mossflower and await the arrival of Schvall, once the Marten resistance is subdued.

The peace now is the calm before the storm, and the storm will come. And nothing will be the same once it's passed.

Er...now I can't say for sure, but...I'm almost positive Quastern is going to have an issue with this idea. 1: I'm not sure wolves are Redwall-approved. And 2: I can say with almost 100% certainty he won't allow martens to be played so generously/in so great of numbers. He's always been very finicky about martens, wildcats and wolverines.

I'd wait for him to actually pop in and comment, though. He has final say on all things role-playing (excluding the good Lady herself, of course).
