Dear Student, Congratulations! You have been selected for admission to the Westchester Academy for Exceptional Youth. You and your family have every reason to be proud of the great achievements that we acknowledge today with this good news. The Academy’s students, faculty and administration look forward to welcoming you into our community. However, recognizing that a student’s job is never done, we require your help in assisting us in your placement of the Academy. No students learn in the same way, and so the administration wish to provide you with the learning environment that is most appropriate for your skills. Before classes begin, you are required to complete an assessment in the following subject areas: English Literature, Mathematics, Science and History. The assessments will be held at a specialized station in the library and your results will be printed out immediately upon completing the examination. We will then place you accordingly. It is our great pleasure to congratulate you on your entrance into the Academy. Our community is one of tolerance, acceptance and challenge, and we are confident that you will find your time with us beneficial and even enjoyable. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to write or call. Warmest Regards, Charles Xavier Headmaster Westchester Academy for Exceptional Youth |

The following form should be filled out with the grade level at which your student would currently be placed for each academic subject. Please keep it appropriate for the student. Not every mutant is a genius, and if they are they won’t be a completely well-rounded genius, although there may be a few exceptions. Your student may be good in some subjects, but not so good in others. List the level of the character as "# Level," replacing the # symbol with a number K-12 or college, if appropriate. NOTE: You do not actually have to write out your character taking the test, or even take the tests yourself. That would be ridiculous. This is simply the results of the test, as you believe it would turn out. And now, on to the form! -------------------- Academic Placement Full Name: Age: Mainstream Grade Level: [The grade your character would be entering into Fall 2012 if they were in mainstream education] Subjects English Literature: History: Mathematics: Science: Reasoning: [Here we would like to see a defense as to why your character would be above or below what would be considered on-level for a subject, explained in third person and in terms of your character's history and/or personality. This section should be at least five or 6 sentences.] |
