Saw "No Country for Old Men." It was creepy and weird, but I liked it too.

I saw Miss Potter over the weekend. If ever there is a night in which you are having trouble sleeping, watch this movie - it'll do the trick.

So, Atonement isn't playing in wide-release here yet. We saw "Hitman" instead. We liked it cuz we love shoot-'em-up movies. Timothy Olyphant was hot as usual (he's my boyfriend from ex-"Deadwood"). Desmond from lost makes a brief appearance as a bad character.

I took my nieces to see the Golden Compass. I really need to read the book to understand everything that's going on. The movie was good, but I know they had to have left out so much that was in the book. We were all a little confused. But it was interesting - especially the whole "free will" question. Loved the talking polar bears, they kick butt!!! Going to see the Will Smith movie, and, hopefully, Atonement this week.

I really want to see the Will Smith movie AND Atonement. I'm adding Atonement to my reading list too. The book got great reviews.

Saw "The Simpsons Movie." I liked it. It was short and silly like the TV show. We're fans of the show anyway, but the movie was cute too.

I never really got into the Simpsons.

I don't even know why I like the Simpsons--I've been watching for so long, probably I'm addicted to it. I like the simplicity of the show, combined with the underlying adult humor.

Saw "Night At the Museum." It was cute. I liked the idea. Loved Ricky Gervais as the museum manager.

I want to see There Will Be Blood. The trailer was good. I love Daniel Day-Lewis. He rarely does movies, so when he does it is a rare treat.

Also want to see Sweeney Todd. That looks right up Johnny Depp's alley. Looks cool.

Can't wait for Dark Knight. Christian Bale is a hot Batman. And Heath Ledger in the same movie. Yum!

Saw Atonement. It was really good, and I really liked it. It was very well done. It had me :fit. The 4 minute stedi-cam shot of Robbie in the war was freakin' awesome! It is one of the best movie shots I've seen in a while. Loved seeing Vanessa Redgrave briefly at the end. Love her.

I'm about 1/3 way through the book, and so far the movie has been very close to the book.

Saw the trailer for another Keira movie coming out this summer called The Duchess where she plays the Duchess of Devonshire in the 1700s. Love historical movies...

For the first time saw The Other Boleyn Girl trailer. I have to say, I was not impressed. It looks different from the book. And not very true to history, which the book did very well. Natalie Portman's accent is not very good. Oh well. But, Eric Bana looks fine.

I hope I can get around to seeing Atonement at the movies. But I really want to finish the book first.

I wonder if Keira will stick to the historicals.
While I read the book, it was really easy to see why they went with KK for the role. It seemed to really capture her.
