sigh. Out of all the movies out this summer, what one have I seen?

Ice Age 3 (but not 3D). Went with my little cousins to see it yesterday. It was cute, but not as good as the first two.

yep, saw it thursday. I'm at the point where I don't hate the movies initially. Overall ok, but I had one huge problem with it

My friend saw Harry Potter on Friday--said it was ok, but she felt a little let down.

The Proposal was hilarious!!! So much more funny than I thought. Definitely recommend it.

I liked Harry Potter, better than most of the others so far, but will never be as satisfying as the books, of course. I liked "UP" and the Proposal. I wonder how much longer Sandra Bullock will be able to do roles like this?

Saw "Moliere," a French film about the playwright (came out in 2007 I think). I loved it! It was really good. Funny & witty. Very well done.

Finally saw Harry Potter...took my nephew this evening. I liked it, though there were times it varied from the book, of course, and I took note each time it did. The ending seemed a bit abrupt to me. My nephew, who is 10 and has not read the books, loved it.

Bride Wars - glad I didn't pay anything to see this one (borrowed it instead). Only a few mildly amusing moments. There was potential there, but it didn't play out.

Vantage Point - the vantage point plot device got old really fast. Forrest Whitaker did a really good job in his role. The other actors *cough*Matthew Fox*cough* left something to be desired. Another one I'm glad I didn't pay to see.

Confessions of a Shopaholic - Was seriously concerned about this one. I knew going in that they made A LOT of changes from what happened in the book. At the 10 minute mark I decided to forget everything I knew and pretend there was no book. And honestly on it's own, I found the movie to be cute and funny. Isla Fisher is adorable as Becky and John Goodman as her dad was perfect casting.

Taken - pretty good. Wish they had used Liam Neeson's charater's old colleagues a little more in the journey to find his daughter, but it was good without that. Maggie Grace was almost unrecognizable with dark hair.

Used my free movie tickets to see "Julie & Julia." I thought it was very cute. I loved seeing all the food in the movie. Meryl Streep was great as she always is. Other than Amy Adams' terrible hair in the movie, she was pretty good too.
