Everything about the movie (MIAB) was awful. Kevin Costner and Robyn Wright had no chemistry. The storyline was awful - they changed so much of the book. The Wedding is a kind of sequel to The Notebook - it's their daughter's story. The only thing I didn't like about the book was the whole swan thing... I read True Believer and found it very boring. So I was surprised that he wrote a sequel - At First Sight. And with that one I bawled at the end! LOL |

I think by the time I read At First Sight, I already had NS's number. So the ending to that didn't even affect me too much. Um, it could also have had something to do with reading the SEQUEL without reading the first book! Even though I enjoyed the story, I did not feel attached to the characters, and just wasn't feeling the love — probably because that groundwork was laid out in the previous book. |

Anyone else see "It's Complicated" with Meryl Streep? Saw it at the cheap movies yesterday -- funniest thing I've seen in a long time. Steve Martin & Alec Baldwin were very funny. |

Saw Avatar this weekend. It was ok. All the special effects and CGI work were extremely impressive. The colors, the creatures, etc were gorgeous. The storyline? Not so much. And while the acting was pretty good (light years beyond Titanic) it wasn't enough to make up for the holes and contradictions that were all over the place. Jake was hurt fighting in Venezuela? Venezuela? Seriously? And that was like the only piece of background info we got on Jake. What did Grace do to loose favor with the Na'vi? They can't use their computer equipment up in the mountains but there they are using it. RME. And 'unobtanium'? I nearly burst out laughing when they said that's what they were after. What genius came up with that? They never explained what the big deal was about it either. Overall it was like a cross between Star Wars and LOTR and the animated kids movie Ferngully (if you haven't seen Ferngully, rent it...there are A LOT of similarities). |

Kat, Carrie(daway) also saw "It's Complicated" and really liked it too. Definitely a movie I will look for on TMN when it comes out. |

I watched "Remember Me" yesterday and it was really good. It's a pretty deep movie and you'll probably cry but I thoroughly enjoyed it. |

Oh! Thanks for the movie rec shanna. I want to see Remember Me, but was worried I would only see RP as Edward. LOL! I watched Brothers on DVD. GOOD movie! Incredibly sad IMO. Definitely gives you insight into how much our soldiers face. Glad it wasn't focused on a love triangle like the previews made it out to be. |

I'm looking forward to the release of Clash of the Titans. I remember enjoying the original when I was a kid. I only remember bits and pieces of the story, but still look forward to seeing the new adaptation. |

I recently watched "Julie & Julia" which I really enjoyed. There is no one better than Meryl Streep! I also saw "The Proposal" which I thought was pretty good. |

Speaking of Meryl Streep - I watched It's Complicated on the way home from Toronto. FUNNY movie! I loved it. I'm really growing to love Meryl Streep in all of her different roles. She's a joy to watch on screen. Oh and Alec Baldwin! Yikes! LOL! Keep your clothes on! |

I liked Julie & Julia. We saw it in the theater on some free tickets I got when I bought my new mixer :-) I liked the Julia part better. But, it was pretty good overall. It made me hungry! |

I liked Julie and Julia too...Though I felt opposite of G - I liked the Julie part better. I'm just not a fan of Julia Child. Recently saw The Proposal. Really liked it. Also saw Sherlock Holmes - the first 45 minutes or so were kinda slow but it improved after that. Didn't like Rachel McAdams in her role. |

Iron Man 2 was all right. Too predictable, okay fight scenes. The first was much better, with more humor. In fact, I fell asleep through the middle section - but that could have been my allergy medicine. Scarlett Johanssen was hot though. |

I LOVED Letters to Juliet. Watched it with some girlfriends and Friday night and really enjoyed it. The ending was cheesy and not very well acted - but the rest of the movie was humorous, sweet and romantic. It's been awhile since a romance made me cry - and yeah - I was crying!! |
