Good to know about Juliet, Mary. I've been wanting to watch that one.

Will try to see Letters to Juliet -- my sister saw it & recommends it, too. I saw Russell Crowe's Robin Hood. I thought it was good - but there were a couple "roll my eyes" moments. Not sure about the Marion / Robin chemistry in this one (Cate Blanchett - whom I like also, but not so much in this roll). Worth the price of a ticket, though.

I just don't get why they feel the need to keep re-telling the Robin Hood story. I usually like it, but I've seen so many versions.

I watched a few movies recently:

Duplicity - boring for the most part

Up! - thought it was cute

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs - it was ok

The Special Relationship - it's an HBO movie about the political relationship between Tony Blair and Bill Clinton. I thought it was great and very interesting.

Bruno - ugh!

The Hurt Locker - I really liked it

just watched Four Christmases with Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn. While it has its funny moments, it was overall so-so.

Elite, did you think Up was depressing? I guess that's signature disney, but I remember thinking it ws really sad. Great graphics....but depressing.

I have Hurt Locker - hope to watch that soon.

Watched Book of Eli over the weekend.
Good movie, but anything that heavy on religion doesn't really do much for me. I enjoy the occassional religious flick that re-enacts the bible (ex: Ten Commandments), but this was a bit more abstract. Not my cup of tea, but well told and filmed.

We just signed up for Netflix too so we should be watching a bit more movies now. Jose watched 2012 already and I think our next movie in line is The Lovely Bones. I want to see how the movie compares to the book.

really want to see Toy Story 3...though every review from friends says "I cried". Have a date with two friends to watch Eclipse next Wednesday..not sure I'll be the best person for an accurate review on that one.

A, I don't think anyone can give a true and honest opinion on the movie Eclipse. All the die hards will love it no matter what. All those who really hate it the hoopla will hate the movie.

As of me, I have no intention of watching Eclipse in a movie theatre with a bunch of giggling girls who will talk throughout much of it. I'll wait until it comes out on TMN - next year.

I saw Twilight last year and thought the movie was pretty awful - I think Kristen Stewart is a horrible actress. New Moon comes out in July and I'll see how I like that - maybe with a different director, the move would be better.

I don't think I'd ever like the movie Eclipse, seeing as how much I hated the book. I like to pretend that book was never written.

The Hangover is differently a movie I'd see again!

hahahaha...i have this dislike for the series..thought breaking dawn was ok. have no clue why i'm going aside from a friend asking me. Anyhow, can't wait for the harry potter movie. I"m going to TRY to put my booksnobbish ways aside for this one. They may do a decent job considering it's in two parts.
