I just saw the trailer for The Immortals over the weekend....looks like lots of greek mythology.

Saw The Lincoln Lawyer. Been a while since I read the book, which is probably a good thing as I don't remember all the details. Liked it more than I thought I would. Matthew McConaughey doesn't quite fit how I pictured Haller, but he was pretty good.

Kung Fu Panda 2 - so adorable and fun to watch.
Friends with Benefits - funny! I love Justin Timberlake so it wasn't hard for me to enjoy the movie though.
Conan the Barbarian - Yummy Jason Momoa....but weak story. It was okay only. Would have preferred a stronger heroine. But wow, JM looks mighty good nekkid!

Saw Girl with the Dragon Tattoo last week. Pretty good. Kept me interested. Think I'll go ahead & read the book, too. I like Daniel Craig in just about anything (even though he's a blonde ;-) Rooney Mara was great. That character is one tough chick!

The book is great. It was one of our BOTM choices in 2010. Feel free to write your thoughts in that thread while you're reading the book. I'd love to hear your comments!

Yeah, as dark as the book was, the story still pulled me in .

Bridesmaids - Eh. I didn't find it all that funny. And the dress shop scene came off more crass than hilarious. It had it's moments but overall I was bored with it.

I watched the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo last night but have not read the book so I wasn't sure what to expect. I thought it was disturbing! I can't stop thinking about a couple of the scenes. Yikes! I think I could have done without watching it. Or maybe I'm just overly sensitive this week. LOL

There are some very disturbing scenes in the book GWTDT. Those scenes are why I'll probably wait to watch it on DVD.

The Help - pretty good, though I still like the book better. I know some things had to be cut because of time restrictions, but I wish they'd kept a few more details - like Abilene getting the newspaper column job at the end. Octavia Spencer was pitch perfect as Minnie and I'm quickly becoming a fan of Emma Stone

Source Code - good but not the movie I thought it was going to be. I guess from the trailers, I expected a lot more action. Oh and I figured out the basic gist of the ending pretty early on.

kat, I'm starting to like Emma Stone more and more too. She was cute in Easy A.

Emma Stone was on the eppy of Sesame Street today, LOL. I didn't know who she was, but now I do. Thanks!

Finally watched Invictus last night after it has been sitting in my DVR for 6 months. I really liked it. Morgan Freeman was so good in it!

At the end of the "remake" of The Karate Kid. It's okay, but I don't see the same charm in it as the original. Daniel Son and Mr. Miyagi had such chemistry. You sensed how much they bonded and how much they cared about each other. I don't feel the ame with this film. The fact that it's Kung Fu makes me even more irritated. Why not call it Kung Fu Kid?

A, are you gonna see Viggo's movie A Dangerous Method? I really want to see it eventually. Cuz he's awesome, and cuz I love the psych subject matter. I hope he gets an Oscar nomination for it :-)

Did you ever see him in Good? I saw most of it (not all) and he's really good in that too. He's such a good actor!

I have never seen Good. I have every intention of seeing A Dangerous Method. I'm a psych major myself so the subject matter is really interesting for me.
