He he he about the usher. I only saw one guy in our theater, which was sold out. And he looked kinda like a stripper :-) Ooooh, 3D?? Awesome! OMG, yeah, the dance to the Ginuwine song was my fave. |

Toy Story 3 - animated movies shouldn't make me tear up that much. It was a fitting ending. The Descendents - it was a quieter movie than I expected but I liked it. Could see why it was nominated for an Oscar. |

After all these years of avoiding it, I finally broke down and saw the 4 Twilight movies. I'm going with a group of ladies for fun to see BD Part 2, and I wanted to know what the heck was going on. Can't say I liked them. They were fun to watch from a pop-culture standpoint. Um, yeah, RP soooo not cute. Don't get why anyone likes him. But, give me some yummy TL any day. No contest. LOL |

Excited to see it (and have a Twilight marathon), I'm just not sure when it's going to happen. |

Loved the last Twilight movie! Definitely the best of all films. Bella makes a kick ass vamp. Insane plot twist that nearly gave me a heart attack but still loved the movie. The credits were very well done too! I'm sad it's over and now really hope Stephanie Meyer will change her mind and release Midnight Sun |

TEAM JACOB!!!! Good end to the series. Good twist during the fight - a gasp from the audience with that one. Bella makes a better vamp than a damsel in distress, absolutely.

Saw Rise of the Guardians (just o.k.), Skyfall (best Bond movie so far! Love D. Craig), and Life of Pi this week. I think if I hadn't already read the book, I would have enjoyed Pi more. I already knew the twisty ending, so it wasn't as wowing as it would have been. But the movie was gorgeous to watch in 3-D. Normally don't like 3-D, but this was definitely worth it -- as good, if not better, than Avatar in 3-D. Looking forward to the Hobbit!

Oh! I really want to see Life of Pi. The book was great and the film looks like it's very well done. |

I liked the last Twilight more than I thought I would (part 1 didn't impress me). Still haven't read all of the last book (loaned it to someone who kept it forever, reread it so many time that she ended up buying me a new copy) but I knew the basic plot going in. Thought the fight twist was pretty good. Still Team Jacob...that is when I'm not Team Not Bella. I don't get the RP love fest. Though I think I spent a lot of the movie staring at the little things.....like how much hotter Billy Burke is in Revolution and how he should run far away from that mustache. And then why Garrett the vampire seemed so familiar. Wasn't until the credits when I gasped that it was Lee Pace. Worlds apart from Ned on Pushing Daisies. |

Love Billy Burke! LOL at your Team Not Bella....I swear, if Kristen Stewart were less awkward in real life and more self-assured (like vamp Bella), I think she'd be pretty great. She was beautiful in this last installment. I'm such a RPatz fan.....totally in the minority on this board...I know. :P |

Saw BD Part 2. Enjoyed seeing it more than I thought I would. Really did like the ending. Boo RPatz! Only one TL no-shirt scene (trust me, I was counting!)

So, did the movies follow the books closely overall? Was the ending of BD Part 2 like the ending in the book, or was it different in the book? |

The movie pretty much follows the books. The author was pretty hands on with production. The plot twist in the end was NOT in the book - but the author did say that it was acceptable because it fit with Alice's powers. I thought that Hollywood just HAD to make their mark so I almost expected it. I do wish the Emmit and Bella scene was longer because that was such a cute part of the book. |
