Saw Divergent. Enjoyed it. Actually liked it way more than I thought I would. Any casting apprehension disappeared quickly. Sure some things were changed. You have to expect that with any book turned into a movie (what works on paper doesn't always work on screen). But most of those changes I didn't mind as they made the story tighter and made the story more grown up. Even the change to the knife scene - it corrected what bothered me about the scene in the book.

Ohhh! I've been wanting to see this, but have to read the books first.

Oh my goodness, I've seen Frozen far too many times. The movie was over-hyped for me but the songs are catchy and fun. My daughter obviously thinks so since she keeps asking to watch it over and over and over again.

Saw The Hundred-Foot Journey this past weekend. I liked it. Cute and fluffy with a pretty good cast, though not a whole lot of substance plot wise. They probably could have made it 20 minutes shorter and not lost anything. Good movie for when you don't want to have to concentrate on anything.

Guardians of Galaxy was good but overhyped in my opinion. No way is it better than Avengers and Captain America Winter Soldier. I don't think it'd better than the Thor movies and the first Captain America as well. Can't wait for Avengers 2 next summer. It's going to be massive. Marvel sure knows what they're doing.

Finally saw Catching Fire...I guess it was a decent interpretation of the book (the book was ok) and it made me even more Team Gale. I'm still thinking Peeta was miscast. Not that Josh Hutchison is terrible, just not right. At least they recast Buttercup ;)

Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies - LOVED all the LOTR nods. Still don't think it needed to be 3 movies and I could have done without the romance side story, but I won't question Peter Jackson and his fantastic vision of Middle Earth.

Yeah. I'm with Kat. LOVED all the LOTR foreshadowing in Hobbit 3. Every scene involving LOTR characters was fab. I want to see the Elrond, Galadriel and Saruman fight scene again! I wasn't a fan of the Tauriel and Kili romance. I've read a lot of chat groups last week. I can't believe how many were for it. Were they watching what I was? I, too, didn't think Hobbit needed three parts, but I'll allow PJ to do whatever he wants when it comes to Middle-Earth. Can't wait to get all 3 Hobbit movies in DVD. I just want to rewatch certain scenes again.

American Hustle was fabulous. Amy Adams was spectacular in it. By far my favorite, but Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence were all wonderful.

Spectacular Now was a great young adult romance. I'm a serious fan of Shailene Woodley now. It was so real.

HER was also pretty darn good. It had its slow parts but Joaquin Phoenix did a wonderful job creating a relationship with an OS. I wasn't a fan of Scarlett Johansson as the voice of the OS, only because I kept picturing her in the role when I would have preferred envisioning someone on my own.

Dallas Buyer's Club...another great movie.Jared Leto rocked it. Jennifer Garner did a great job as well.

Finally saw Divurgent over the weekend. I liked it. Much more than I expected, just like Kat. I was waiting to watch until I read the books but now I'm hooked. I'll read them soon (I hope)

I caught A Fault in Our Stars on HBO the other night and really liked it. I'm really enjoying Shailene Woodley as an actress. It pretty much follows the book with only a few changes/ommissions.

The "eulogy" scene just broke my heart...perfectly delivered.

Boyhood - was really good. An impressive feat. My one issue is the story for the boy was meh. He was an ordinary character and actor. Ethan Hawke and the mom, her name is escaping me, we're really good. They didn't miss a beat in their roles for a second.

X-Men: Days Future Past - was solid. Was cool seeing the new and old cast together.

Best of Me - James Marsden looked yummy. That is all. Lol

The Fault in Our Stars - look, I wasn't impressed by the book so I felt the same for the movie. I love Shailene. She really is one of my favorites. You MUST check out The Spectacular Now. She and Miles Teller are wonderful. And that is my issue. I just don't think they had chemistry.

Gone Girl - Fabulous movie. Great adaptation. I didn't think you could pull that movie off. Book was so unique and insaNe. I give props to Rosamund Pike, Ben Affleck and, most importantly, David Finch. The acting and directing were on point.

Whiplash - AMAZING!! This is my favorite movie in ages. Saw it two weeks ago and I still think about iT. Miles Teller and JK Simmons were spectacular. They had to be perfect for the movie to be so good. You MUST watch this.

Maleficent - I liked it more than I thought I would. The scene with Angelina and her daughter was adorable. She's a beautiful little girl. I always like seeing a different perspective of classic stories so this one was right up my alley. :)

The last movie I saw in theaters was "Planes 2" with Rhett :) I never, never go to movies. Just hate the whole experience. Well, last week, a friend & I rocked 80s night & saw The Breakfast Club. I never go to movies, and when I do, I go to see a movie that is 30 years old! :) :)

I can't even remember the last time I went to a theater. I do miss it though - maybe in a couple of years. I catch all of my movies, usually while folding laundry, on Friday nights on HBO or STARZ. :)
