I'm done with TT. Yay! I read this one much faster than FOTR, and liked it much better. I'm starting ROTK tomorrow. I'm being propelled now cuz I really, really want to finally see the movies bring the story to life. A--you better get started on GWTW, LOL. who are your top 3 favorite characters so far? (in no particular order) --1st, I'd have to say Aragorn for sure. He just seems like the coolest person in the book. Gosh, there are so many characters. I think I'll have a better grasp of them once I see them brought to life in the movies. --I liked a female character, damn can't think of her name. I think she's the niece who gets left in charge in Edoras. Sounds like she and Aragorn could have something going. --I like Sam cuz I think his voice is closest to what mine would be. He's always hungry and tired on the journey. And, he hates Gollum and always makes side comments about killing Gollum, wanting him dead, etc. |

The movies really do a good job at bringing the characters to life. I think you're safe to watch Fellowship of the Ring. In fact, I think you're good to watch the first 2 movies. I can't quite recall where TTT comes to an end though, so I'm not sure. |

my 3 favorite in order: Aragorn (duh) Gandalf Theoden (the movie really brings that character to life like none of the others, IMO) |

Theoden! He ALMOST bumps Aragorn off. Almost - but not quite. I loved him in the movies. |

i loved his 'speech', which is not quite a speech in TTT. But his speech before the Battle at Pelennor Fields. I ALWAYS get teary eyed watching the movie at that point. Without fail. |

ok, i change my decision. Theoden and Gandalf are both tied at 2. i like them both equally. watching right now makes me see how much i love Theoden's role in everything. |

Enjoy! Hey GWTW - do you plan on watching the regular versions or the Extended Editions? (Hint hint: Just watch the EE versions - they're closer to the books. And you get more LOTR lovin')
