Saul

Name: Saul
Race: Construct
Sex: Male?
Age: N/A

Abilities: Longevity, Unbreathing

Appearance
Saul appears to be no more than a human wearing a light form fitting suit of armor over his entire body, he stands just under six feet tall and though his face is plain and rather androgynous his muscular body and broad shoulders suggest he is male.

Clothing and Attire
Saul’s armor upon closer inspection seems to be an almost insect like carapace shielding everything save for the areas where the plates connect at his joints, in these areas one can peek between to plates to find what appears to be a malleable rust colored cables bound together by red flesh. The Carapace is a darkened gray color with moss and fractures mingling together with decorative etchings most of which have worn away with time. A faceplate seemingly growing from a head made of dark metal cords shows only a hollow expression from its two empty eyes, damage to this mask suggests something is missing from them.

Personality
once a loyal servant of the Eldritch Saul's love for his masters bordered on fanaticism, now struggling with their absence he finds himself despondent and unsure of every action he makes, if however he should find himself a cause or ally, traces of that fierce loyalty would likely blind him to their flaws making him easily controlled.

History
A single servant in an Eldritch households legion Saul once enjoyed overseeing the mundane tasks his masters found beneath them, from cleaning the vast halls to subjugating the lesser races his time under the rule of his masters exposed him to a variety of experiences, but Saul like all the others in the legion was once a man. Born a slave in a tribe of savage humans Saul knew no family, no name, only cruelty and murderous labor. Most of his childhood was spent toiling and starving hoping to avoid another vicious kick to the ribs or heavy handed smack in the face. Surviving these unfortunate early years Saul was all but broken both in body and spirit, it was at this time that the Eldritch arrived in their little corner of the world. When they came the human tribe reacted violently and futility, it took only one Eldritch to destroy the men of the tribe fighting against them, the smallest among them entered the village and surveyed the survivors. Saul was the first to approach, hobbling slowly towards what he hoped would be a quick end to his painful life Saul fell to his knees and weakly hung his head, it was then that he was shown compassion. The Eldritch he eventually came to know as the child looked down at the frail creature before it and felt sorrow for humans preyed upon and abused by their own, he extended a large hand to Saul and raised him up. Infusing the body of this human with healing magics The Child eased the pain of old wounds and poorly mended bones then silently projected a command 'Gather the other slaves". After this event Saul spent the rest of his natural life serving the Eldritch, helping to liberate other slaves of any race he could find and bringing them to the kinder house that saved him. Over the years his masters grew fond of him, when he finally grew old and prepared for he end The Child once again took pity on him and made him an offer, one of an afterlife serving masters that cared for him, masters he loved. The end was always hazy when he recalled it, one moment he was resting in his bed breathing his last, the next he was waking up invigorated and staring his favorite master in the face with new eyes made of light, each gap in his new armor spilled radiant light. The Child extended an almost ethereal finger to Saul’s head and when it made contact a wave of cheering assaulted his mind, there were others like him, all loyal servants and all congratulating him on becoming a member of their ranks. They all introduced themselves and his brothers and sisters drawing him closer into a family than he has ever been, This was when they named him "Saul the youngest brother in the legion. Generations came and went all witnessed by Saul and his new found family. Through sorcery or some feat of engineering Saul was always connected to his brothers and sisters, they always spoke, telling of their lives before pledging their souls to the Eldritch, seeking advice on a task, or even just praising their masters. Saul spent thousands of years in servitude to the Eldritch before the war with the dragons came and ended his happy afterlife.
