Would it be possible to use 3 token new character system to purchase 2 token skills and 1 ability for a class? So I would that token on said ability? Example: Eternal, Swarm, rank 1 Disease from DM? |

You begin with 3 abilities from a single class, or 3 tokens. No mixing to start with. After that, you get a token or ability every 100 posts and can progress however you see fit. Correct me if I'm wrong, Luthe. This is my understanding of how you set up the character progression system. |

Accurate. This has been asked, before. Would the community prefer three tokens/skills mixee, to the current format? It would give even further class freedom, certainly. The original idea was to give a punch of class identity at the beginning, but it can be unforgiving if the first rank tiers have little of interest for a particular character (particularly for Mages with only elemental spells). |

Obviously I'm in favor of it. I'd say for balance reasons keep it to rank 1 purchases, maybe rank 2 depend on what other classes offer, but no higher than that. But that's just me.

I wouldn't mind starting with a mix of things, more freedom is always a plus. I think the big thing you mentioned is mages, since for them tier 1 is almost strictly elemental, and lets say you only wanted one of those skills, you'd be pretty much forced into a 3 token start, then wait till 100 posts for you to begin even learning magic. Conversely I wonder if starting so sporadically can be too strong, say taking something like Detect, Earth Alchemy, and disease. You'd really have to have an interesting bio to have such a learned character. Ultimately it's up to the staff to decide, but I'm going to put a tentative vote for it, as I'm all for creative freedom, and I think most of us are pretty responsible in general. |

Ya, sure. I'll make edits to the rules sections, tonight to reflect this change. |

I just realized I've been remiss in this topic, too much time in the skype box with talking to recall I must post my opinions online. I feel like all things are good, I like as much flexibility as possible. I bless this current decision with my bunny hammer of doom. OR FLUFF... *looks both ways* bunny hammer of fluff That's what I said... |
