I'm still working on the prologue (which doesn't take place in the NEAR galaxy...yet), but I like to plan ahead, so here I go.
At some point my nation is going to rather haphazardly enter this galaxy in a rather unplanned fashion. I am currently on the lookout for someone with whom I can have a (relatively) peaceful first contact with after this has come to pass.
so...
anyone? :3

PS: my end-term tests have just ended, so in theory my writing should speed up and the rather long prologue will be up fairly shortly.

Well I'm planning on lowering my initial population and having my nation arrive on space-arks. I'm not sure how you are planning to arrive but that could be a first-contact.

The entire Sertek systm (including the star and both planets) will arrive in way that is vaguely analogous to a humongous wormhole to an outside observer. That being said, I'm intending to end up somewhere in the rough proximity of the galactic core, so I'm not sure how nomads could factor into this.

Well we're not Nomads, I simply arrived from a separate galaxy, which means I will end up somewhere near the galactic edge. Probably a population of 5 billion would do for a massive fleet of space-arks (Just thinking out loud here).

I think it would be an interesting RP tho to meet a human like race that's not human tho. But if it can't happen it can't.

it could happen, just not immediately. There's planety of time for agressive expansion exploration later on :3

Now that I think of it a nomadic civilization would be a nice change...

Maybe my entire nation should be a massive fleet >.>

In the decadent and rather bloated, expansive state, I'm sure I could assist you in a relatively peaceful first contact scenario.

It'd be nice to actually finish an RP with you.

Now that we have the chance to have our own space without distractions, I'm sure it will be more common to have finished Rp's :)

The first part of the prologue is done (yay). I posted the thread in Alpha quadrant for consistency's sake. I eagerly await approval of the posting of the thread (which is apparently required?)
If there are particularly weird or worrisome things happening in the IC thread, feel free to use this one as the OOC thread.

At this point i'd also like to very clearly state that the gigantic crazy-ass capital ships you will see mentioned will NOT be making an entry into this galaxy. Though i'd be fun to eventually start building them, I strongly feel that this is not going to even be considered for a long, long time
