The Anfield 100 in Shropshire - one of the few true Classic Time Trials still going - and always now on Spring Bank Holiday Monday. I actually woke at 6 this morning and thought 'Ian (Cox) and Brian (Fogarty) will be at the HQ now!' I have to admit I then turned over for another couple of hours!! Hope the conditions turned out as well as forecast but it is not exactly a fast course - as Rod Goodfellow knows better than most having ridden it several times. |

I've got their times - Ian and Brian are probably still in the pub celebrating with a pint - or more - as Nigel UKIP will have been doing all day! Ian 3rd in 4-01-02 and Brian 4th in 4-01-58 with winner Nigel Haigh Strategic Lions 3-47-19 Two cracking rides - especially Brian's as I am pretty sure it was his first ever 100. Just a pity we did not have a third man for an easy Team win. |

hi dave yes me and brian both did this today a very well run event bit of a chill early on last 90 mins sunny and warm with a bit more wind than forecast on what i would best describe as a spoco 100 !! not the best road surface we both had a couple of small delays brian being late for his start by 18secs and me having to make 3 toilet pitstops first time ever in a 100, garmin was on autostop so didnt know how long id stopped for until results came up came through finish in 3.57.38 so the diff being pitstop. ian 4.01.02 3rd brian 4.01.58 4th won by nigel haigh in 3.47.19 fantastic time on that course |

Great minds think alike Ian - but there again fools - - - - !! Thanks for the update Ian and confirmation that it was Brian's first 100 - all good stuff for the Telegraph column on Thursday - I have conveniently got the photo of both of you that I took at the HQ after the CTC 2-up last week. |
