David Hargreaves

It was wet for most riders tonight on the L1015 Levens course. The winds were light and the rain stopped for the later starters. It was sunny when I arrived and during my warm-up, but within a minute of starting the rain came down. Sue and Harry were just in front. My visor had soon misted up and I had to keep clearing it with my finger. I had removed the sellotape from the two front vents before I set off to the HQ but it made little difference to the misting. Harry won the V70 prize, I believe I won 2nd V60 (subject to confirmation) and David Haworth recorded a PB.
Dave Hargreaves 22-10
Gary Sedgwick 22-12
David Haworth 22-39 (PB)
Phil Chadwick 22-58
Simon Diggins 23-09
Jim Connell 23-34
Sue Cheetham 24-46
Harry Haseley 24-55
Michael Cox 24-56
Jan Scotchford 26-42
Graham Sheard and Bob Matthews offered their apologies.

Yes, well done Harry I had forgotten about the age record. I was 3 seconds off an age record but that was set at age 70 by Hovis.

Congratulations on your '10' Dave - it was super ride and also fastest of the Club on the night.

It was a better ride than my 22-08 in so much that mine was done with a 4-15pm start and your with a 6-10pm start time.

However I was 3 years older so still a target for you.

Well done to all the other NLRC riders on Saturday night which was pretty awful at times up in The Lakes - especially David with a PB - was that the only PB on Saturday? - I thought there may have been others. Good to see Harry clock up another record after his nasty spill during the winter - did you ride 'Fixed' Harry? - if not you may have gone even faster - that 22-08 at 70 above was done on your fixed gear bike.
