Another Hour Record attempt - tonight!

At 6pm our time (Thursday) the double stage winner in the recent Tour of Britain Matthias Brandle will attack the six week old World Hour Record of Jens Voigt on one of his home tracks in Switzerland.

He has chosen a 200 metre track - Voigt's was 250 metres - so has a quarter again as many bends to take - which is certainly not ideal!

It is live on Eurosport preceeded by a repeat of Voight's record ride.

I managed to watch the record attempt live for the last half hour - including losing the link when I tried to post it on here!

It was on from 8am our time.

51.3 miles for Bobridge so a very subdued ending today. Just shows that the 'Hour' is not an easy record to beat.

Some snipits of today's effort - half a kilometer short of Brandle's record.

Hardest thing he has ever done he says.
