The Petre Arms is open again!

After the sudden closure of the Petre Arms near Langho in October - it is up and running again!!

I was passing around 3-30pm on Wednesday and saw their car-park was full - they obviously have given permission for parents parking for the school next door. This was a contentious thing with the previous owners as I understand it.

So I turned round the '25' RAB turn and we popped in for a chat and an update. I might say that two halves of bitter cost us precisely £1 each !! They hadn't made much profit on that sale for sure.

Anyway - I explained to the new Management that we - our cycling club and our North Lancs VTTA Group - used to use it for meetings. I also explained about the annual CTC/ NLRC/ Blackburn Eagles reunions that I held for the last two at their pub. They seemed happy to go ahead with them if we wish.

So hopefully we can reconsider where our NLRC meetings are held again and also the VTTA and - important for me the Reunions - albeit that it will be September before the next one but it was the ideal venue for the last two.
