Mariko was born the child of nomadic ninjas traveling through out the Country of Rain prior the establishment of Sunagakure. She was 7 at the time when her parents and several other nomadic ninjas would go from small town to town sneaking into houses and stealing what they needed for their tribe to survive. Mariko was never involved in any of these hit and runs due to her age and inability to run away if she was ever caught. Mariko's family set up camp on the outskirts of the deserts to rest up for the following day. Unfortunately for them, their campsite fell directly on the path several small villages were planning to use to migrate to the dessert to set up a larger village together in. For the most part, her tribe went unnoticed, but living in the lap of luxury after their latest heist came with a hefty price. A noblemen of the migrating travelers recognized the cold eyes of Mariko's parents as the thieves they were. Blood was shed that day, her family, her friends, all died before her as the criminals they were. The only among them that had no part in the mass burglaries was her. The head of the family who just slaughtered approached the young lady. "What's your name?" she trembled in fear for her life as she managed to let her words escape her lips, "M-Mariko sir.." the man looked down towards her and then to the rest of the bodies strewn across the hard rock floor and asked her "Do you know how to fight?" Mariko shook her head immediately, "Well then, do you know how to read?", again she shook her head. "Well your family cost us quiet a pretty penny in those heists they pulled. To pay off their crimes, you're going to be working for us, for the rest of your life, or die. It's your choice."
Mariko never forgot that day, every fine detail of what occurred remained in her memory. That one lie she told gave her hope though. She was abused on a daily basis, hit and beaten when she did the slightest thing out of order. When she was of age, she was raped and used as nothing more than a sex toy for her new masters who showed no sympathy towards the daughter of thieves. She did know how to read though, a skill passed down to her by her father. The cupboards she dusted out were filled with scrolls about ninjutsu and chakra. She was too afraid to take anything she learned into practice though. The threat of her new masters constantly looming over her made it next to impossible to attempt any of this ninjutsu. While cleaning the house she discovered upon a hidden compartment in the wall, that when pulled out revealed a large scroll. She tucked it back inside, and waited for her masters to fall asleep before returning to it though.
At 3 AM she sneaked back into the house reopening the secret compartment. Within the scroll she found an even more advanced technique labeled 地怨虞 (lit. Earth Grudge Fear). Reading the details of the technique, she found out that it was a forbidden technique that granted immense power and even immortality to those who wield it. But using such technique would brand the user as a criminal for defiling the very laws of nature. It only seemed suiting to her, being the orphan daughter of criminals who were slaughtered for doing what they had to do to survive. She took the scroll and ran outside in the middle of the dark with a single candle. Unraveling the rest of the scroll she saw patterns of kanji of the likes she's never seen before. The instructions seemed morbid to say the least. it said that she had to slice her body from her forearm to the tip of her middle finger and place it against the scroll as a blood sacrifice. She knew that if this didn't work like it said it did, she would bleed out and die. But she would rather do that then continue living the way she was. Mariko took the kitchen knife she stole and slit her arm with one clean cut to the finger whilst holding in screams of agonizing pain she slammed her wounded flesh against the scroll as the tears rolled off her cheek. She felt her self bleeding out and ready to pass out, all hope she had leaving her body in the form of blood.
The scroll's kanji flashed purple as she felt the paper attach to her open wound. The chakra infused inscriptions on the scroll traveled across the paper and creeped their way inside the open flesh wound leaving the scroll completely blank. She gagged for breathe as something wicked traveled inside that wound, her body starting to no longer feel like her own, but she sensed that she was in control. Her muscles and veins slowly blackened into tendrils and filled her skin as if it was a suit. She could feel her organs vanishing, her hunger, her thirst, what made her human was being mutated by this scroll's curse. By the time the contract was completed, she stood up as her wound closed itself up with the tendrils that filled her flesh. Her heart still pumping, she felt alive, in a way she never had before. These millions of tendrils within her seemed to be fully under her command. Mariko released them from her finger tips and sharpened them to the point where each single tendril was lethal at the right speed. This was the power that she has been deprived of for so long.
Headed back up to her masters bedroom as she performed the one technique she's been practicing all through out her imprisonment. The one that would prevent them from killing her the way those monsters killed her family. She utilized 土遁・土矛 (Earth Release: Earth spear) for the first time in it's full form. No longer was she practicing it just on her finger, but this time on her entire arm. With it, her skin turned black and she thrust her fist against the door of her master's bedroom. The noblemen woke up and stared at her slave. His fury lighting up his eyes with fire as he charged towards her after picking up his katana from underneath the bed. His last words "YOU ROTTEN BRAT!" before she held her hand out towards him and sent her thousands of thin tendrils shooting out towards shoulder Caught completely off guard, she sliced his arm clean off his body. His katana flung from his hand and right past his wife's face who was currently cowering in the corner. Mariko remained silent while her master blood raising out of his throat gargled his screams for help. Stoically, she wrapped her tendrils around his remaining wrist and ankles, stretching his body out to it's limits as he felt his muscles tare as she pulled his limbs out further. Her hand other hand reached forward as more tendrils spilled out towards his body. She swung her hand up and with that command the tendrils tore through his manhood, and forced it inside his own body. His eyes rolled behind his head as she forcibly thrust the tendrils in and out of the hole she was making where his genitalia once existed. She couldn't tell if he killed him or if he just passed out from the excruciating amount of pain, but she didn't feel the satisfaction she was looking for. She slung the tendrils out of his body leaving a gaping wound that started spilling blood, and then intestines. She took the tendrils soaked in blood and seamen and rammed it into his neck, cutting through it in one clean slice. She didn't even notice his wife screaming, but it didn't matter because her tendrils that decapitated her husband continued towards her neck. The noblemen's wife's head was soon rolling on the floor next to her lifeless body. Her work was done.
She packed whatever scrolls she could in her former master's travelling bag along with the heads of him and his wife to be there to assure her that she has avenged her family. After collecting the gold from the safes she walked down to the lower floor and collapsed the foundations of the building before walking out and watching it crumble upon itself. There at that moment she met the Kami No Okiniiri. They briefly interrogated her about what had happen, and she started recognizing them as nothing but an enemy. Her tendrils came bursting out her back as they pushed her off the ground and loomed over the Kami No Okiniiri. They simply stared at her and nodded towards each other and back towards her. "You're one of us, if you wish to have true purpose in this world, you will join our struggle." She absorbed these words on a much deeper level than they could imagine. It was true, after she avenged her family's death, she no longer had anywhere to go, or a purpose to serve. So she dropped to the floor bringing her tendrils back inside her body, agreeing to join them in their purpose in an attempt to create an identity of her own.
After meeting up with the rest of the ninja in the faction she recently joined. She met up with her team mate who proved to her not to be the smartest in the group, but his street smart in the ninja world reassured her that leader picked the right team mate for her. After receiving her first mission, her team mate told her he had other business to attend to, so she brought it upon herself to start the mission alone. She wandered into the forest collecting information and stumbled upon a meeting of another faction. Hiding away her faction's uniform, she put on a show for them to appear as an innocent little girl who lost her way. She quickly earned their trust for the most part, and through the sincerity she was able to express when referring back to her dark past, she was able gain a position within their faction. While she was aware that the mission she was given wasn't an espionage mission, she felt as this was her best bet to gather the necessary intel. She traveled with two of her new faction-mates, and bonded with them in the time they spent together. While she was joining them on a journey they were taking, a member of the Jashinist faction started stalking her, and seemed rather focused on picking her out from the group, under the impression that she was the weakest. Evading the first confrontation, they continued on the journey. Through this Journey she was able to learn who was in control of the land of fire, and gathered some intel about the land of whirlpools. The jashin who was stalking her before attempted a surprise attack from behind, in which Mariko was able to quickly dodge and counter attack the jashin. The Jashin continued fighting back even after she had her ass handed to her, so she had to drop the helpless act she was putting on and fought the Jashin using her weaker ninjutsu. The Jashin managed to keep fighting despite the amount of pressure Mariko put on her until Mariko grabbed her from underneath the ground and sunk her deep into the earth's crust using the earth ninjutsu she learned from the stolen scrolls of her former master's estate. Before leaving the Jashin underneath the earth to be crushed, she stole her scythe as a souvenir and rose back above ground. The Jashin she buried underground happened to of been the leader of the Jashinist clan, thus signifying the fall of the entire faction. She temporarily lost her trust among the with the Uzu Shiroku Faction when she was confronted about how she learned such fighting powers. She broke down and started crying when she was forced to bring up her morbid past while selectively leaving things out about herself. She regained her trust and continued traveling with this faction under a false alias.

She separated on her own for a while from the S and X duo she was previously spending her time gathering intel with. After walking around on her own for a while, X had found her and called her to the side to talk in private. X interrogated her more about the half-truths she had told him earlier, but luckily her tongue was still sharp and she was able to avoid the obvious implications of the questions she was given. She was then told about how the faction she was under had broken in two and that she was to be second in command of one half of the broken faction. Naturally, she wanted more, but saw no opportunity to gain such power. Shortly after X had confessed his love to Mariko. She was able to dance around the truth, but she couldn't bring herself to lie her way through a fake relationship, especially one that offered no immediate apparent turn-out. She apologized, and was told by X that he must be on his way.
lol the scene was void, i trashed the character god damn
Do you have any idea how stupid you sound right now?
You trashed it AFTER the scene was done. Thus the scene remains valid. You can't void a scene unless every participant of the scenes agree's that it's to voided, even if you trash your character after the scene.
Say, I keep using this character for the next couple months, and everything I've done on this character triggered several long series of events that're responsible for changing the entire direction of the story arc. If I get bored and trash it, that doesn't make every scene I've done on the character invalid forcing dozens of roleplayer's history to drastically alter because I decided to trash my character. That's just dumb as fuck tbh.
Example: I steal an ancient artifact from one faction and framed another fraction for stealing it. These two factions wage a war against each other, and one of them ends up getting all their faction members killed off thus bringing the destruction of an entire fraction. Then after that fact, WOOPS looks like Tally decided to trash her character, so that means the ancient artifact was never stolen, so that means a war that took place over say a weeks time never happened, and everyone who lost their character gets them back now because Tally trashed her character making everything her character ever did invalid.
No. That's not how roleplay works nena. I'm not even trying to be mean to you, I'm being polite enough to explain something that should be common sense to you. Please try to put your ego aside and understand this VERY simple concept.
lol tl;dr tbh trashed my character before you RP'd a fake death, can't kill a Jashin and your character never knew how to do so the right way, which still leaves my Jashin alive. Plus you rp'd your jutsu wrong.

Explain to me how I rped my jutsu wrong. http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Earth_Release:_Double_Suicide_Decapitation_Technique The jutsu says that the user drags the opponent into the ground. It doesn't say that there's a limit to how deep I can drag you underneath the earth. Obviously its original intention was to leave their head out so they can be interrogated, but that doesn't mean my character can't use the technique in a more offensive manner.
you trashed your character AFTER your "death", it was still up when I posted the toe tag for it, and even IF you did trash it in the middle of a battle, then you shouldn't of kept on rping your character. The individual cells that made up your character might have been alive, but the character itself might as well of been considered dead seeing how your body was destroyed from the pressure of the earth and then disintegrated by raiton ninjutsu. A jashin is dead when they have absolutely no chance of having their body brought back together to a usable state, and my character doesn't need to "the right way to kill a jashin" to do what she did to your jashin. Words can not describe how stupid you're making your self to be Nena.
bitch you can't put someone that deep under earth without killing yourself too, and shavon did two lines for that, death is 10. You dont even have screenies of this hunty. You can continue to make more pages on your bio, but you'll die soon enough boo. Toots.
