Most likely Dana 44 in the front eventually so I don't have to go 8 stud. Was originally debating between that and putting in a long travel IFS w/ coilovers because it would be less work and $$ than the former, but solid axle can't be beat for offroading IMO so it might be better in the long run than the latter. And thanks Buob, lol. |

Haha yup IFS isn't the best for wheeling,, and it makes sense to go with the D44 But i would agree and do the SAS now rather than the coilover, why spend money twice? lol |

hey thats the age old question that everone asks ifs or solid axel. i went the ifs way first aswell but mudding is an addiction and the truck is the drug. evenualy u need something stronger and stonger to suit u better lol but there are so many options. first of all your truck atm had a drivers drop t case witch generaly means ford front diff most popualy is the dana60 hp or the dana44 hd both 8 lug the other for option is 5 lug dana 44. the other route is more work and $ with geting a t case adapter and running a pass side t case. if you are looking to go with a chevy corperate 10 bolt, or dana 44 (6 stud) they arnt very strong and if you wheel alot, dont hold up well. so in my opinion the cheapest most functional and practical way is to go with a ford 8 lug diff either dana44 or 60 and match up your lug pattern with a coperate 14 bsf or 14 bff witch are cost efective and abundant. |

dont quote me on this and im shure someone can prove me wrong on this but i think chevy danna 44 hubs etc can be changed out with ford hubs etc alowing you to run a pass side diferntal with a chevy pattern. thats something that could be looked into. |
