Ok, its official. Quinn is the next Ranger Coach. So its a new start, new coach, new players, he will pick a new Capt. I think this will be a very exciting start to the new season. Looking forward to it. And lets not forget, things will be happening in the draft. I have to think Quinn, has knowledge of these young players at draft time. The pieces are being put together. The house cleaning is being done. This is what most all,was hoping for. Lets support it. No need for any kind of negativity. |

NO NEED FOR NEGATIVITY? WHO ARE YOU KIDDING! Hiring David Quinn as head coach is a TERRIBLE idea! FIRE QUINN! FIRE GORTON!! FIRE SATHER!!! LOL David Quinn, welcome to the New York Rangers. Quinn has been coaching top draft prospect Brady Tkachuk at Boston University, son of NHL star Keith Tkachuk and younger brother of the Flames' Matthew Tkachuk (no relation to former Ranger Walt Tkaczuk). Brady Tkachuk is expected to go top 4 or 5 in this year's NHL Entry Draft. Maybe the Rangers can package a deal with their 9th-overall pick in the draft plus another player or pick to move up in the draft and select Brady Tkachuk. I'll bet Quinn would be very pleased if that could be done. That would make two of us. BTW - Larry Brooks reported a few weeks ago Quinn would NOT be leaving BU. it just proves once again Brooks doesn't know his dick from his asshole, and he knows even less about what's going on in the hockey world. I haven't been watching religiously because the game is now boring. But I do tune in once in a while and it looks like the same shit you see during the season. It will never be what it was. Bettman will not allow it. Too worried about the pending concussion lawsuit. |

You're right, you haven't been watching. Therefore, you're really not qualified to discuss or determine what brand of hockey is being played. How many players got LEVELED in Game 7 and stayed down for awhile, injured and in a daze. There was Devante Smith-Pelly in the first period, T.J. Oshie and Brooks Orpik. I know I'm forgetting someone. Then there was the close-up of Tom Wilson's bloody knuckles after punching Braydon Coburn's helmet off his head. But you wouldn't know, you haven't been watching. Anybody see Quinn's presser? I didn't realize we hired Mike Sullivan again. |

I watch the entire press conference. Yes RZ, he does resemble Sullivan. I was impressed with him let's wait and see. I like the fact he use the word physical. I think he's going to be a big help in the draft. |

Thanks for posting. I spotted this at 11pm and immediately tuned in at 11 and again at 12. It's fun to watch Rangers news on a slow night with no other hockey on. I've been watching hockey for several hours every night for a month straight. I don't like the choice of Quinn as Rangers head coach. I don't like guys with the letter 'Q' in their name. Seriously, I think Quinn is the right choice. Highest marks go to GM Jeff Gorton and President Glen Sather for deciding on Quinn and getting their man. |

I liked what he said in his presser about attention to detail and BEING IN SHAPE and playing fast. I don't think the Rangers teams of the past 5 years have been the best conditioned teams and that's one reason they get out worked many games. I hope Quinn changes that and gets them into tip top shape so they can play fast and physical for 60 minutes every game. |

I just read the letter Quinn wrote to Ranger fans and its pretty good. He says the right things so I hope he turns words into reality. But I have to ask NoMore a question...…. NoMore…...Did you post a comment on his letter that is posted on NHL.com? The first comment by commenter 61e71 has to be you. If not, someone is copying your style or thinks and writes exactly like you. If you didn't post it, go to the letter and read the comment. |
