Like Iron Mike told the team in the locker room before the game.

"WE WIN TONIGHT, AND WE WALK TOGETHER FOREVER"

"NOW I CAN DIE IN PEACE"
I was thinking of you NoMore when I posted this.NoMore 94

This day will always be with me forever, mostly because I shared this day with one if the greatest Ranger Fan there is, my Son Steven aka Jocko. His resting place has a Ranger Flag and a license plate, that says
Number 1 Ranger Fan
We had our season tickets then.
LETS Go Rangers :checking:

The greatest championship run this sport will ever have. I don't mean the best team, or the most impressive. But the greatest. From the heartbreak of 54 years, the atmosphere in NYC, the legendary players on the team from the past and future, Messier's guarantee, Matteau, Matteau! , 2 game 7 series, winning both at home, the parade, Iron Mike...no other run can replicate it. Agreed?

Yes I agree. When that game was over, outside the Garden, it was a Love Fest. Every one was just hugging each other. NY always gets a bad rep, but we did not turn over cars start fires break Windows loot stores.
It was awesome. And don't forget, the day of the parade the Long Island Railroad was on strike and they're still were over a million fans.

June 14, 1994 will always rekindle the following memories:

Watching Game 7 with my ex-wife and children - holding hands, hugging and jumping around the living room. I don't think my ex and I were ever closer or more in love than that moment. I'll never forget sharing that moment with her.

When time expired my first thought was my friend and co-worker Sal. A lifelong Rangers fan, Sal had been diagnosed with cancer, bravely fought the disease but succumbed and passed away just before the playoffs began. Sal was 53 years-old. It had been 54 years since the Rangers had last won the Stanley Cup in 1940. Sal never got to see the Rangers win the Stanley Cup in his lifetime.

My next thought was Ceil Seidel, a die-hard Rangers fan, season ticket holder and member of the Rangers fan club who had been murdered in her home near the end of the season. Her seat was left unoccupied throughout the playoffs, filled only with a bouquet of flowers. Adam Graves mentioned her during post-game festivities, as you would expect from a gentleman of his character and class. She didn't live to see the celebration either, like my friend Sal. Adam also looked into the camera and screamed "NINE-TEEN FOR-TY! WOO!" But it was John Davidson who said, immediately after the game ended: "NO MORE 1940!"

My final thought is one I have learned of since 1994 - my friend TonyG's son Steven aka Jocko. I'm glad you got to experience the 1994 Stanley Cup Championship together. Know that your son is never far away from you - especially on June 14th.

My home is decorated like a shrine to the 1994 Stanley Cup Champion New York Rangers. I think about it and re-live it every day. I'm divorced now, and engaged to a wonderful woman who moved in with me several years ago. She didn't know hockey existed before she and I got together, and now she's a die-hard, true blue Rangers fan. I have that effect on people. I've told her I want my headstone to read:

"NOW I CAN DIE IN PEACE"

It's only been 24 years. We've still got 30 more years to go before the Rangers win another Stanley Cup.

Besides, if they win another Cup I'll have to redecorate my home.

Yes its time for one, but I will never get sick or tired of talking about 94, I believe when it was said this one will last a lifetime, or as Iron Mike said, We will walk together forever.
And when we win another Cup, nothing will top 94 for me.

Nothing will top 94 for me either - especially Game 6 vs. the Devils and Game 7 vs. the Canucks.

What do you guys think is the best single Ranger moment SINCE 1994? I would have to go with Derek Stepan's Overtime goal in game 7 2015

Difficult to argue that. I will never forget Game 6 and MSL's overtime goal in game 4.

Heck yeah. When MSL's mother died, it really brought the team together even more. At the time the Rangers were down 3 games to 1 against Pittsburgh and we ended up coming back to win that series. It would've been a perfect ending if the Rangers could've rode the wave to a Stanley Cup championship, but it was not to be.
