Not really surprising, and nothing really in the article other than he wants out.

Let the LBJ/Kawhi rumors begins (continue).

There are more than a few teams who can offer a better package to San Antonio for Kawhi than the Knicks can (assuming they don’t include Porzingis), but people close to Leonard have expressed a desire for Leonard to play in New York, per sources.

I've been saying in regards to Kyrie, don't trade for him this year, rather wait until he's a FA next offseason. This may be a different situation, and one that should help lure Kyrie (maybe Lebron? - probably not) to the Knicks.

Would SA be enticed by a young PG to replace Tony Parker in Frank (and more of course)? Frank, THJ and a 1st? Does that work? Is that a smart move by NYK if it could get it done?

Every time there's a glimmer of hope and some young kids we trade them away. He and Kyrie can wait a year...I don't give up 'nuffin!

I hope that Steve Mills can get in on this Kawhi deal even if it's a 3 way. Send Porzingis to the Spurs, Lonzo and Brandon Ingram to the Knicks along with picks. Lakers get Kawhi and cap space for LeBron.

That'd be interesting, but they could pull that off w/o the Knicks. SA may prefer two young future "stars" to one.

Lavar Ball vs Pop would be great TV.

Reason i mentioned the Knicks is because i read earlier this year that the Spurs front office loves Porzingis. Knicks would get two studs in my scenario and get to keep the 9th pick, and potentially get another stud.

Just wonder if they love Porzingis more than both Lonzo and Ingram.

My opinion is he ends up in LA, with 2/3 of Lonzo, Ingram, Kuzma heading to SA. Then LA signs LeBron and PG13.

Complicated but possible as detailed here: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/23776431/how-lakers-land-lebron-james-paul-george-kawhi-leonard-nba-free-agency

Unfortunately, this is the Knicks. We can't have nice things.

Adrian Wojnarowski

@wojespn
Indiana had little interest in Paul George trade w/ Lakers -- and that'll be case for Spurs too. Boston gives Spurs best building blocks of assets -- one of young forwards (likely Jaylen Brown), its own 18 pick/19 protected Kings pick, etc. Lonzo to Spurs? Don't hold your breath.

I really do believe Pop would not be interested in Lonzo because of the cirucs that comes along with him.

And SA may not be willing to trade him w/in the conference though, making Boston, Philly, NYK prime candidates.

Damn, in addition to Brown and Tatum, Boston has a lot of assets to move.

"According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.com, the Spurs "basically shut the door on" the Lakers in Kawhi Leonard trade talks."

Saw a rumor about LAC making a push and could dangle both picks tonight in addition to Tobias Harris.
