Charlotte is finalizing a deal to send Dwight Howard to the Brooklyn Nets for Timofey Mozgov, league sources tell ESPN. Nets will save $17M on deal in 2019-20 season, allowing them to create two max salary slots.

Howard's 4th team in four years.

Attitude or decline in importance of the center position?

Or both?

In fairness, Dwight had a good year last year. He played well. Nets will have major cap space next year.

"The (Hornets) locker room did not like Dwight Howard," @bwood_33 says on @SiriusXMNBA "Guys were just sick and tired of his act."

I feel like you can swap "(Hornets)" w/ 4 other teams.

You and me both dude. I was in the ER last week. Not pneumonia but an Upper Respiratory infection. I'm still not one hundred percent. Thought it was pneumonia.

Anyway feel better. Welcome back.

Thanks, man...feel better.
There's never a good time to catch that stuff but this is absolutely the worst time of the year for it.

Dwight Howard is expected to finalize a buyout with the Brooklyn Nets and enter free agency once trade is complete on July 6, league sources tell Yahoo.

I'm not advocating this, but with KP probably gone most of the year, I wonder if NYK takes a 1 year flier on him.

Personally, being that he seems to be an asshole in every locker room, I'd avoid it 100% and not ruin the young kids development, let them learn from someone who does things the right way, but he'd definitely help keep the Knicks in the spotlight. We know how much they value that...

Knicks already have 3 big men under contract. And I'm sure Dwight won't want to sign here. Problem is I don't really see a market for him. Who in their right mind is gonna give him big money and years.

I think he will get MLE offers.

Are these the 3 you're referring to

KP - may not play at all next year.
Kanter - could opt out.
Noah - Is he back from the jungle/rain forrest where he was making weird/stoned videos?

Is Luke Fornet still around?

Howard was interested in NY a couple years ago, and since I can't foresee any contenders bringing him in, he may prefer the bright lights vs some small town if he's going to play on a shitty team.
