Members of the Knicks organization met in-person with Texas’ Mohamed Bamba in New York today, team sources told ESPN. The meeting is an indication that the Knicks are considering trading up from the No. 9 pick. Bamba is projected as the fifth pick in ESPN's latest mock draft.

Confused...he's not on my radar. Thoughts?

I'm not a fan. He has high bust potential.

Ian's report is accurate. The Knicks are reportedly exploring the option of trading up to the #4 spot in the draft, currently owned by Memphis. The Grizzlies have been adamant about shedding Chandler Parsons' contract in any deal.

If you are going to trade up to 4 I rather they take Luka Doncic or Jaren Jackson. Mo Bamba is the very definition of hit or miss.

Stay at 9, take the wing and don’t take on another bad contract.

Same... If not for doncic... This deal sucks.

This kid Bamba has an inconsistent motor, poor fundamentals, he gets pushed around easily. The rebounding and shot blocking is great but I don't think he is worth trading up for.

If they get the 4th pick I'm hoping it's for Doncic or Bagley.

Mo Bamba apparently told Mephis he is refusing to workout for them, and refusing to share his medical info with them.

Teams are exploring deals with the Hawks for the no. 3 pick with the hope of moving up to select Luka Doncic or Mo Bamba, per league sources. Hearing interested teams are the Bulls, Knicks, Magic, Clippers and Mavs. The Celtics are a dark horse. @ringer https://t.co/tORujMslNc

Not as top heavy but seems this draft is as deep as it’s been the past handful of years when you look at the potential lottery picks.

May not be a superstar here but plenty of really solid NBA guys.

How will they fuck this up...

That's the million dollar question because you know Knicks will screw this up. Only thing remains to be seen how many years this sets them back.

Would be just like the Knicks to trade up for a center in a league that largely ignores the position.

I can't find anyone who agrees with me, but if the Knicks are truly committed to KP long-term, they'd better teach him to play center.

You can't have two seven-footers on the court at the same time in today's NBA. One of them will have to guard the three-point line.

I agree. The fact that theyre chasing 7 footers is ridiculous. Especially that kid Bamba who is raw as fuck.
