@wojespn The Lakers have acquired the 39th pick in Thursday’s Draft from the 76ers, league source tells ESPN. Lakers will send Philly its 2019 second round pick via Bulls and cash. |

Agreed...KP should be a full time 5 and they have MUCH larger needs all over the place. Told you guys Knicks would find a way to fk this up. Just stay at 9 or trade down to 10+ if Knox still around. WTF...I can't believe they are running this hard after Bamba. |

KP gets destroyed every time he tries to guard centers. Rudy Robert, Karl Towns, and Nikola Jokic all had career highs vs him. He even admitted he does not like playing the 5. |

Draft Express in their latest Mock this morning has Kevin Knox to the Knicks and Mikal Bridges to the Sixers at 10. |

Just a thought... If they are set on taking a big man, I'd prefer they don't trade up for Bamba, but rather trade down and try to acquire both LAC picks at 12/13 - and then take Robert Williams from Texas A&M. He may not have the ceiling that Bamba does, but he's a rim protector and could be serviceable next to KP for years to come. Read some comparisons to Clint Capela, and some even think he'll develop better defensively than DeAndre Jordan (not sure about that?). And they could still potentially get one of the two Bridges, Sexton, or maybe for some reason Knox slips. Edited by TuffleShuffle, Jun 21 2018, 12:39 PM.

Well not sure Mamba is a superstar so rather than trading up to take a player with risk, and also giving up future assets (or taking on bad contracts such as Parsons), I'd much rather them do something smart and get 2 young guys in the draft that will help fill out a shitty roster. Ultimately I hope they just stay at 9 though. |

I stay at 9 and pick best available...but that's just me. Not gonna sell the farm for Bamba. |

Adrian Wojnarowski Here's how the Top 6 of tonight's NBA Draft is taking shape: 1. Suns: Deandre Ayton. 2. Kings: Marvin Bagley Jr.; 3. Hawks: Luka Doncic; 4. Jaren Jackson, Jr.; 5. Mavericks: Mo Bamba; 6. Magic: Trae Young. Though this is just Woj's mock, wouldn't surprise me if he already has the picks as he's usually way ahead of everyone else on draft night (I'm kidding). |

New Mock Draft update on ESPN. Michael Porter falls to 12, as concerns are mounting among teams in the lottery about his long-term outlook: https://t.co/hpiDE2e70Y |

I'll bet the Knicks nab Porter at 9 if he slips, but they're not the kind of team who can take a gamble like that. Edited by Jazzradio60, Jun 21 2018, 04:46 PM.

I read earlier MPJ may sit out all of next year to make sure he's fully healed. The ceiling is as high, if not higher than anyone in the draft. But that comes with huge injury risk. Don't think they can gamble on the future of the franchise with two players that bring so much injury question marks (he and KP). Just a few months ago he was considered the #1 pick. Him at 9 thought may be too tempting to pass up. |

@TheSteinLine The Hawks and Mavericks are still talking, according to league sources, but Dallas is unwilling to trade No. 5 and Wes Matthews for No. 3 and Kent Bazemore. Such a move is essentially paying $19.3 million to move up two spots in tonight's draft @JeremyWoo Sense around the league is that the Mavericks and Hawks deal has stalled but isn’t dead. Incentive for both sides to get it done, as Dallas covets Luka Doncic and Hawks want to get off salary. If Atlanta comes down to No. 5, keep an eye on Trae Young. Damn, now I want to move up to take this kid: @MadelynBurke Luka Doncic, a huge fan of ‘Friends’ and especially of Jennifer Aniston, told me it wasn’t Ross’s fault because “they were on a break!” |
