I noticed that in the first episode when Jo arrives and she plans on running away, Mrs. Garrett convinces her to stay by saying she'd be letting her mother down. At that point Jo basically breaks down into tears and after a few seconds of thinking decides that she'll stay. Has anyone else noticed that Mrs. Garrett usually uses guilt trips on Jo by bringing up her mother or something else in the problem that would make her change her mind? |

Definitely--like in Slices of Life, when Jo messes with her mom's pizza recipe, Mrs. Garrett makes her feel guilty about it tasting so bad. lol |

Her mom gives her a guilt trip as well. In season 5's "The Second Time Around". Rose Polniaczek says something along the lines of "Jo, you're a bully. Being angry at everyone and throwing tantrums until you get your way." |
