Poison Guide Poisons, toxins and venoms are all poisonous, intoxicating substances - powders, liquids and gases - that can be used by ninja in combat. Poisons come with a variety of effects, ranging from body weakness, paralysis or death. To use poisons of longer, lethal, and fatal effects, poisons MUST be a characters specialty. Most poison users use poison on their weapons through various means. Sakura, for example, after learning from Shizune coats her kunai with poison so that if she is able to cut the target, they are instantly injected with the toxic substance. Puppet-users, such as Chiyo, Kankurō and Sasori, prefer to put poison inside their puppets so that they inject via hidden bladed weapons. Sasori, similarly to Sakura, puts poison that is clearly noticeable on the blades of his puppet, the Third Kazekage, as well as in his Iron Sand, which is far less noticeable. Poison may be used in other forms, not only as a liquid substance. It can be used in a mist form, as demonstrated by Shizune, with her Poison Mist technique. Inhaling the slightest bit of poison can prove fatal, as seen when Sasori trapped Sakura in two consecutive waves of his poison mist. Such vapours can also be used for paralysing effects, as Ibuse demonstrated. Poison Rules: Poison itself is allowed by anyone up to the Chuunin rank table. If you have poison as a specialty, then you may proceed to follow the whole table as follows: Academy Student: Irritants Genin: Knock-out/Non-Permanent Damage/Comedic damage Chunnin: Paralysis Jounin: Neurotoxins / Lethal poisons (20 post minimum kill limit) Adv. Jounin: 10 post minimum kill limit. Kage: Poisons that can kill with 3-5 posts. Killing Exceptions: Now, Jounin are able to start killing. If lets say my Jounin, stabs someone with a poison blade, the stab itself adds to the damage. This would increase speed of death by other means. This will be judged in Actual RP, which will be handled at that point in time. Clan exceptions: Face it, all admins and staff on here know from other sites that clans get made to work around the rules. If someone makes a clan of poison users to try and beat the rules of this guide, good luck. If you can honestly impress us enough to make us change our rules, we welcome the challange. Summons/Creatures and Poisons: The other thing people try and use to get around rules. No "pets" will be allowed poison abilities above Genin, and that is being generous. Summons on the other hand are different. That will go as follows. C - Rank Summon - Chuunin poison rule B - Rank Summon - Jounin poison rule A - Rank Summon - Adv. Jounin poison rule S - Rank Summon - Kage poison rule Keep in mind, your summons must also be poisoned/toxin based PERIOD if you want them venomous. |
