Permanent Representative of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations Mr. President, esteemed delegates, Today The Democratic People's Republic of Korea has launched a surprise and deliberate attack on Republic of Korea. I believe that this is a clear violation on Armistice Agreement in 1953 as well as the international law. We ask the international community to take essential steps to punish the DPRK as they have launched the illegal attack on the Republic of Korea. Also we ask the further sanctions on the DPRK. |

![]() Sin Son-ho Permanent Ambassador to the United Nations Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea The Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea abhors the recent drafted UNSC farce of a resolution which would put even more illegal sanctions on our country for doing nothing but defend ourselves. If further sanctions are passed in the UNSC there will be dramatic consequences. |

Permanent Representative of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations Mr. President and esteemed delegates, Allegation from North Korean representative is absolutely reckless and making repetitive excuses for their actions. I will refrain any further comments on this case as the discussion is undergoing at the Security Council. |

Permanent Representative of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations Mr. President and esteemed delegates, The Democratic People's Republic of Korea has launched another skirmish on the Republic of Korea while member states of the United Nations are on discussion to seek the peaceful resolution on crisis. The Republic of Korea will not tolerate any further provocation done by North Korea and we ask North Korea to cease the unreasonable provocation on South. If the DPRK is willing to engage the talks to relieve the tension between two Koreas, we are willing to engage such meeting. Thank you. |

Kingsley Mamabolo Permanent Representative of South Africa to the United Nations South Africa strongly believes these actions merit harsher sanctions against Pyongyang, their actions have only increased tension and violence in the region. It`s far time the UN take stronger action against these provocations. |

![]() Faste representant til De forente nasjoner | Permanent Representative of Norway to the United Nations Honorable delegates, I would like to request all to refrain from jumping to conclusions, as the news report released by numerous sources appear to contain matters that contradict each other and as a result we call for a thorough investigation into the matter, before being willing to discuss how to respond to the situation. |

![]() Sin Son-ho Permanent Ambassador to the United Nations Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea The recent unprovoked attacks conducted by the puppet regime in Seoul killed several soldiers of the Korean Peoples Army and did damage to communication towers, their apparent target. We would provide unhindered cooperation to international investigators from declared neutral countries into this incident. The DPRK would also like to thank the honored representative from Norway for his open mind and willingness to call for an investigation before jumping to conclusions. The lies of the Southern government are too blatant to allow them to continue and when it is brought to light that they are lying through their teeth we expect sanctions against the South. |
