Esteemed NATO Partners and allies,

The United States fears that the situation in Ukraine, backed by covert operations authorised by Russian intelligence services will develop into Moldova and more specifically Transnistria. We therefore request our European allies to provide their views on the situation and perhaps designate one member to lead coordinated NATO-US-EU activities with the Moldovan government to ensure the territorial integrity of Moldova in what could expected to be another lawless action committed by Russia?

I await you responses, thanl you.

I must express my disappointment from our NATO allies regarding their silence on the matter of assisting Moldova. We thank the Polish and British willingness to aid Moldova, but the silence following a proposal to give aid to Moldova is concerning. We are willing to commit 27.5% of any financial aid to Moldova, bringing the current percentage of commitment to 35% between the UK and United States. We urge that other NATO members commit, as the total amount will be $300,000,000 and go directly to the Moldovan police services. Furthermore, the United States is prepared to give body armour to Moldovan personnel, aside from the financial package.

Regarding a training operation in Moldova, we believe that there needs to be more NATO commitment to the matter - but only after we have seen more aggression from the Russian government and military regarding Transnistria. The United States is prepared to commit some personnel to such a training operation, but only if we have the commitment of other NATO allies. Should something more serious develop in Moldova, it will be the result of the failure of those who stayed silent.
