Minister Mohammad Zarif Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamic Republic The Islamic Republic of Iran makes a public call for all parties to return to the negotiation table to bring a final end to the embargo against Iran. The embargo, whose legality is very questionable, has no relevance to the Nuclear issue, and is destabilizing for the entire region. The Islamic Republic of Iran firmly believes that an agreement can be reached, following the standards as defined in the Joint plan of action. An earlier trust building agreement would be beneficial as well. Iran is proposing the following as a trust building measure.

Minister Mohammad Zarif Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamic Republic Iran is willing to allow IAEA observers to access these sites. Access was granted early 2014, and later that year as well. As was to be expected, all allegations were found to be unfounded and the site was even considered unsuitable to being used for weaponization experiments. We therefore see no need to allow continued regular access, let alone spot inspections. We must also note that every single IAEA report concerning the situation between 2003 and now has confirmed that Iran does not have a weaponization program. With no evidence to the contrary, we see no need for implement far reaching and unparalleled inspection measures. The additional protocol is completely voluntarily, and will be regarded and treated as such. Edited by 10ebbor10, Jun 29 2014, 10:58 PM.
