Mutaib bin Abdullah Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia We call upon Iraq and Iran to stop their senseless violence against the members of the ISIS and join us in Riyadh for talks on a ceasefire and putting this violence to rest. The way in which Iraq and Iran have acted in this manner is displeasing to us and we will say this we will not tolerate the deployment of Iranian troops to our borders such a thing would be met with a mutual land and sea deployment matching the Islamic Republic of Iran to the very last man. We want peace and we demand that Iraq and Iran stop this violent act against Sunni Muslims and join us at the table of negotiation immediately before they trigger something they will regret for generations of years to come!! |

United States Secretary of State The United States will not sit idly whilst an extremist terrorist group sweeps through the Middle East and destabilizes the region. We will take appropriate actions to contain the threat and assist the Iraqi government in any way we can, and are confident that Baghdad, like Washington, will not negotiate with terrorists who have massacred innocent civilians. It goes without saying however, that the United States supports deep political reforms in Iraq to stabilize the situation and provide all Sunni Muslims with equal treatment, which is why we have advised the Iraqi government to pursue a government of national unity in this time of crisis. We would also recommend that Saudi Arabia distance itself from its current position on the ISIS. Saudi Arabia has already been identified as a significant source of financial support for extremist terrorist groups, and we would expect that the Saudi government undertakes all precautions necessary to limit such financing, whether it goes to the ISIS, or Al-Qaeda. |

The Republic of Iraq notes and welcomes the new Saudi stance, but does not forgive the Saudi government for their statements made. Iraq will continue to urge foreign donors to these militant groups to cease all transfers of arms, supplies, and/or goods, in the interest of peace and stability in the region. We call on the Iraq government to bring both Shiites and Kurds into a power sharing government. We also stand by to assist Iraqi forces in any measure possible, however we cannot discontinue unilateral action while terrorists threaten the security of our border. |
