Ibrahim al-Jafaari
Foreign Minister of Iraq

Delegates,

I come to you today to ask your assistance in combaring the evil that is threatening to overtake my great nation. The ISIS has taken large swaths of Iraq and enslaved those peoples. They have massacred and executed anyone who disagrees with their ideology. They have committed numerous war crimes and must be held accountable.

I am asking on behalf of the Iraqi people for your help in eliminating this evil from our land. If you would like to stand with and support the Iraqi people in their time of need we thank you for any assistance, no matter how big or small. I pray to Allah that nobody will stand against us, or try to hinder us in our fight with these terrorists.

I ask that those countries that are unable to aid directly will throw their nations full power behind UNSC Resolution 2170. This will hopefully assist in eliminating their source of funds as well as attempting to keep this evil from spreading.

Thank you for your time.

I would like to address the world on a moment of silence for the senseless and undeniably evil actions conducted today against innocent and helpless civilians across Syria and Iraq. No words can describe the horror we have witnessed today manifesting itself incarnate.

It is the position of the Kurdish Regional Government that our worries and predictions of escalation amidst the conflicts engulfing the Middle East would bear disastrous consequences for the world at large. Today, we are sad and disappointed to affirm this reality.

Our message to the world's citizens, and to their government's is this, particularly to those in the west, from one of your own celebrated classic authors:

"When good men fail to act, evil prevails."

Edmund Burke spoke these words, and the Kurdish people declare, we will not fail to act in the future, we will never forget, we will never forgive those who treacherously betrayed their own brothers and sisters in this great family we call humanity.

Unfortunately, due to the level of hostilities between ourselves and ISIS, we find it impossible in this situation, though we are more than willing, to send any medical or material aid. The situation is simply untenable in every meaning of the word.

From this day forward, we will double our efforts to bring these conflicts to an end. The remaining terrorists will be hunted down and defeated! This attempt on innocent lives have left nations scarred and deformed, but our resolve has never been stronger!

Mohammad Javad Zarif
Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran

I once again call upon the West to take a much proactive role in fighting IS and now the Islamic Legion as with the recent news with the usage of anthrax. One could even call it ironic of the West condemning Iran over our nuclear energy program and the use of WMDs has been used not by Iran but by a mysterious player in this regional crisis. However it is now American strategy to arm the so called FSA whose splinters groups have been rumored to pay homage to IS, while than solve the crisis the United States has decided to arm Syrian terrorists who in no doubt is causing the Syrian government to concentrate resources instead of using those resources to fight IS and protest minorities throughout the country. I urge France, the UK, Germany and others to increase their roles and to pressure their American ally in realizing Obama`s strategy will not help the situation but make it worse.

Mr. Zarif,

It again is clear that Iran is looking for populist gain and resorts to condemning the West, despite addressing the most urgent matter namely to assist those that have become a victim to this outrageous attack. I can however inform you, as has happened through multiple channels already, that behind the scenes Washington is working in full force to address numerous aspects of this crisis and its fall out. Concerning the claim that Washington is providing the Free Syrian Army with assistance, I would like to emphasize that the same countries you are calling on to end the alleged assistance of Washington to the FSA, are among those that view the FSA and Syrian National Coalition as the sole legitimate representative of the Syrian people. This fact makes you call look rather ill-prepared and ill-informed.

Mr. Kerry,

As usual the Americans hear what they want to hear when it suits them. I believe I made it very clearly that the West`s support of the new American policy towards continuing training the "FSA" to launch attacks against the Assad regime is not only foolish but causes IS to continue making gains, rather then solve the issue the Americans are only enlarging the conflict and causing sectarian violence to continue longer in Syria. I do believe sir, that is what I made very clear in my statement, however if my English isn`t sub-par, the Iranian foreign ministry will gladly hire a translator for the secretary of state. I would think Washington would happily take credit for its role in supplying terrorists, you do doubt authorized logistical and financial assistance to supposed rebels through an American group and have continued to allow them to do so. And since it can not be supported that this assistance has gone to "rebels" or IS it makes the Americans ten times more responsible for their role in this shameful episode of international relations. While American airstrikes it seems continues to make Sunni Iraqis wary of deciding whether to join or not join IS, unlike the United States...the people of the Middle East don`t have the pleasure of being five thousand miles away and more from the conflict zone.

Mr. Zarif,

The accusations coming from you are yet another indication of what Tehran values and finds important. At the same time I do not feel I need to explain myself, nor the U.S. policies to a regime that supports entities such as Hezbollah and calls for the destruction of other countries and people. That such a regime representative labels the Free Syrian Army and the Syrian National Coalition as terrorist is sufficient proof that the international community and Iran do not use similar definitions for terrorists and terrorism. Let me state it extremely clear that Washington never has, nor never will provide weapons and assistance to Islamic State (IS). For Iran to even suggest this is a clear indication that it is unable to realistically look at the US policies and actions, something that does not surprise me. The fact that you are unwilling to acknowledge any positive contribution of the United States in this undertaking against IS, is a clear sign that you are unwilling to see such, and is reason enough for my to refrain from discussing this matter with you.

The entire IS is the result of Western exploitation of the Iraqi people. The failed project of "democracy" established in Iraq has only divided the once proud and stable nation into 3 separate factions which are not able or not willing to forum an unity. Especially the Sunni people have suffered from the "war on terror" and it's a logical consequence they are more easy willing to side with a terrorist fascist group which at least say they want to help them. A terrorist fascist group which is at least unofficially backed by Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

If the world wants to tackle the IS problem, it needs to start to include the Sunni population of Iraq, it needs to stop Saudi Arabia and Turkey from funding terrorism and it needs to include Iran and Syria into a solution. We understand that the true agenda of the West is to create a divided and weak Middle East dominated by a strong fascist Zionist Entity, but this "dream" has resulted in even more res-sentiment in the Middle East.

Of course your regime does not provide weapons to IS, but your regime is to naive or blind which resulted in an IS propped up with a large amount of US arms. Does this makes your government innocent? Of course not. You've been warned thousands of times and all your Middle Eastern policies since the illegal establishment of the sectarian Apartheid state Israel have resulted in terror and exploitation of the Arab community. 1.455.590 poor Iraqi people died in your last adventure in Iraq. So please, don't try to lecture Iran about terrorism. Almost every single nation in that region knows exactly what terrorism is, thanks to the United States.

Mr. Parrilla,

You are beginning to sound like a broken record, your anti-US rhetoric, and statements are however beginning to take more and more worrisome forms. I also find it worrisome that you reaction seems to indicate that you are more interested in damaging the fragile relations between Havana and Washington, rather than realistically addressing the issue the international community. and in particular the people in the Middle East, is facing.

Mister Kerry, you need to learn to accept that most of the world disagree with your policies. If you believe you can silence Cuba by making false promises in regards to Guantanamo Bay and the illegal economic sanctions upon us, you are wrong. We will always be vocal in regards to injustice, that's the essence of Socialism. This has nothing to do with "anti-Americanism".

It's worrisome that the US foreign policy seems to be focused on vague threats towards those disagreeing with them. Is this the change Obama promised the world? Or is this just a continuation of Bush. Not a good start for "combating" IS in our views. We urge your government to reconsider your policies. If you like it or not, your government has a bad record in regards to dealing with Middle Eastern issues. I've not even mentioned your Palestine inactivity. We however have the best desires here and hope your government will finally start to practice the promised "change".

Sudan does not hold Saudi Arabia to account for the violence in Iraq, it appears to be a game of lets blame the Sunni majority state because it's Sunni. This intolerance is exactly why brutal groups like ISIL are allowed to exist due to sectarian divides upon the previous regime in Iraq. With the new inclusive Iraqi government I believe ISIL can be defeated soon but we cannot scupper the capability of this by playing a blame game, the world must unite and not divide amongst each other.

European governments as well as Turkey have failed to prevent their citizens going and fighting for this terrorist group. We cannot isolate governments and countries because they have different beliefs. That will simply fuel the conflict further.
