Israeli Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Esteemed delegates, Following intense legal evaluation and security assessment, I have been tasked with addressing the planned Saudi-Egypt Causeway. I must admit that it came to a somewhat surprise to Jerusalem that the Egyptian Government has accepted Suadi Arabia’s proposal for a causeway. Especially noting the staunch Saudi Arabian opposition to General al-Sisi ascension to power, the Wahhabi regime in Riyadh was commonly known to support Muhammad Morsi and the quasi terrorist organization: Muslim Brotherhood. However the causeway itself infringes on the stipulations of the Camp David Accord, which lays emphasises on the right of freedom of navigation through the Strait of Tiran. Article V stipulates that “'the Parties consider the Strait of Tiran and the Gulf of Aqaba to be international waterways open to all nations for unimpeded and non-suspendable freedom of navigation and overflight. The Parties will respect each other's right to navigation and overflight for access to either country through the Strait of Tiran and the Gulf of Aqaba'." The position of Israel is that the planned causeway not only is in direct violation of the Camp David Accords but that it will also become a security problem for shipping traffic in the strait purposed entering Israel and Jordan. Further it could have fatal consequences to the marine environment and coral reefs in the Red Sea. Such damage could have a knock-on effect on tourism, something that is vital for the Egyptian economy. Further to matters concerning the Camp David Accord, we remind the Egyptian delegation that thorough coordination with Jerusalem in regards to military matters on Sinai is a necessity. We will not allow military build-up on Sinai without prior consent. That said, Israel is willing to solve this matter diplomatically, understanding the cordial relations that we hold with Cairo and thus, we await a formal response from the Egyptian delegation? Thank you. |

Rafael Ramírez Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs Funny. I thought all international treaties were supposed to be binding for all signatory parties. Not only the Camp David Accord binding for only Egypt. |

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs - Nawabzada Malik Amad Khan Awan The statement made by the Australian delegation is rife with words such as "false," "stable," and "democratic," but these words are patently misused in the statement so I am unsure as to the message ultimately presented. If the Australian delegation feels that Israel is truly a stable, democratic, peaceful force in the Middle East, I must question if they are truly informed as to the behavior and nature of the Israeli regime, which has not only conducted brutal internal repression against a Muslim population routinely ignored by the West and written off as "terrorists," but has also routinely violated the sovereignty of other nations which, unlike itself, remain universally recognized across the international community. As Israel is not a legitimate nation, and as Egypt is, and as Israel has continuously violated both the terms of the Camp David Accords and the sovereignty of the Egyptian nation, I continue to fail to see the obligation of the Arab Republic of Egypt to deter the growth and development of not only their society and nation, but of the all regional societies and nations, because of an agreement with a rogue state that said rogue state has not adhered to. |

Israeli Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Unfortunately to the ill-educated representative of Pakistan, Egypt does recognise the State of Israel as any other respectful nation in the world. Therefore, his pityful attempt to write off the agreement as illegitimate false through, like every other attempt he has made in this chamber. Pakistan; the harbourer of Osama bin Laden, a safe haven for terrorists and Islamic radicalism, collaborators of Taliban, should be given very little attention here and in general. Now while the Pakistani representative continues to babble along about how Israel tries to deter growth and prosperity, let me inform the representative that on-going negotiations has been on for months regarding a $ 60 billion gas deal with Egypt. I fail to see, how that reflects the Pakistanis pathetic arguments. Now while I cannot, unfortunately turn off the voice of the Pakistani representative, let me re-assure him that his continous attempts to derail the discussion here together with his Venzuelan "compadre" will merely be ignored like most that comes from these parts of the world should. |

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs - Nawabzada Malik Amad Khan Awan While former governments may have made the error of recognizing the illegal Jewish terror state as legitimate, the continued belligerence of the government based out of Tel Aviv forces Egypt, and the rest of the Muslim world, to question the wisdom of that decision. However, while the Jewish delegate is busy ignoring the people of color which his country actively works to oppress, I must reiterate my earlier point: if Israel finds itself repeatedly in violation of the terms of the Camp David Accords, why ought Egypt consider itself bound by the very same terms? Unless of course Israel asserts that it's repeated deployment of forces to the demilitarized border zone as recently as 2012 did not violate the Camp David Accords. Additionally, one must question the strategic wisdom of a newly-constructed nation-"state" locating a principal port on land so easily cut off by two nations that it has done nothing but antagonize for five-plus decades. Of course, the Israeli's only adhere to the basic terms of international law when it benefits them to do so. |
