The Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran condemns the recent Zionist aggression in Syria as a flagrant violation of international law against wars of aggression and crimes against humanity. Preliminary assessments we have received indicate that the attacks did little damage to Syria's strategic weapons capabilities and came at heavy cost of civilian life. Our advisors in the country have reported at least one entire family has been totally wiped out. This is the true meaning of Zionist expansionism, the Muslim peoples are the targets of it. The Zionist aggression will only further inflame the tragic civil war in Syria and strengthen the enemies of humanity. Given the size of this airstrike, it is easy to believe that the Zionists would like to see the Islamic State victorious in Syria. Sartaj Aziz Acting Foreign Minister, Islamic Republic of Pakistan The Islamic Republic of Pakistan must condemn with the fullest possible vigor the actions of the Jewish Terror State based out of Tel Aviv, and calls upon the international community to similarly condemn Israel's actions. Israeli strikes were carried out without coordination with the anti-IS coalition operating in the region; Israeli strikes were carried out in a way designed to maximize civilian losses and weaken the Assad regime against the advance of the Islamic State and other anti-Assad rebel groups; and they were carried out in flagrant violation of international law. This has not been the first time in Israel's relatively brief history as a rogue terror state that it has taken unilateral violent action against the strategic reserves of a Muslim nation; I need not remind the international community of Israel's plot, foiled by the Indian government during the 1990s, which would have destroyed Pakistan's various civilian nuclear reactors and killed literally millions of Pakistani civilians in both the attacks and due to radioactive fallout generated as such. Israel has consistently shown no regard for the lives of Muslims, and has acted more so than literally any other group to destabilize politics in the region. In other words, it would not be inaccurate to describe the Israeli state as worse than ISIS, and their actions in Syria once again demonstrate. |

It is clear from the patterns of the airstrikes that the Zionists intended to inflict the maximum possible damage to Syria's civilian population and the country's commericial activities. It can only be surmised that this strategy, a violation of the laws of war and every decent human principle, is aimed to make the Syrian government defenseless in the face of civil war. Let me assure the international community that should the Zionists attempt a similar foolhardy assault upon Iran, it will be the last ever attack they launch. The international community should demand that the Zionists withdraw all personnel and material support, as well as cease all activities, in this region as it is clear they are exploiting the anti-ISIS coalition to advance their expanionist and imperialist aims. The most recent report received from our field forces indicate that the Zionist airstrikes murdered 137 civilians, including 23 children. The actions of this rogue regime must be stopped. Justice and hope demand it. Behrouz Padshah Assistant Deputy Foreign Minister for Special Affairs Islamic Republic of Iran |

Minister Laurent Fabius Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development | Ministre des Affaires étrangères et du Développement international Paris calls for calm form the international community. There are a number of states, both in the region and elsewhere, that have been calling for strikes and the destruction of Syrian WMD and missile sites. France would welcome an international investigation over the matter. While we condemn any violation of international and national sovereignty laws, France supports a nations inherent right to self defense and the Syrian government is the likely culprit in the most heinous action since the Iraqi gassing of the Kurds. |

Mr. Fabius, There cannot be calm in the face of injustice and repression. Even if unilateral aggression were justified against Syria - which they most certainly were not - they by no means are justified to be conducted by an imperialist Zionist regime. The 'right to self-defense' is applicable when faced with a credible and imminent threat - it is not to be used by an aggressor to justify their criminal activity! I am pleased that Paris is willing to support an international investigation. The investigation should begin in Tel Aviv and with the deliberate decision to kill innocent Syrian people. I assure you that Iran will not be victim to such aggression. Behrouz Padshah Assistant Deputy Foreign Minister for Special Affairs Islamic Republic of Iran |

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Whilst we find disagreements with Tel Aviv on a multitude of issues, these strikes have limited the capacity of the illegitimate Assad regime to utilize weapons of mass destruction against both its own innocent civilians, and those in other countries. We mourn any innocent loss of life as a result of this preventative action by Israel. |

Sartaj Aziz Acting Foreign Minister, Islamic Republic of Pakistan The government of Pakistan finds the statements made by the Turkish delegation to be troubling, especially given lack of Turkish efforts against the Islamic State. Given Turkish recalcitrance in supporting international efforts against the terrorist state emerging in Syria and Iraq, it is unsurprising that they vocally support Israeli efforts against enemies of the Islamic State. |

Sushma Swaraj Minister of Foreign Affairs Republic of India In the fight against the IS in Syria, I am dismayed to hear that Israel may have united the Syrian regimes forces, the rebels, and IS together against Israel, giving them a common and hated foe to unite against. I would have prefered to see Israel hold off on attacking Syria. India does support the forced dismantlement of Syria's chemical weapons so they cannot be used on civilians, but the timing of this strike couldn't have been any worse. |

The Syrian Government is one of the most brutal in the world, committing brutal acts of violence against the Syrian people, through the use of weapons of mass destruction. We support the State of Israel's actions, that allowed for a blow to be struck against the Assad Regime. ISIL continues to remain one of the most serious threats to security in the region, but this does not mean that international pressure, on a political, economic, and military level will be let up in any way, in regard to the Syrian Government. The Commonwealth of Australia believes it is the wish of the Syrian people and the international community to see a free, stable, and democratic Syria, and neither ISIL nor the current dictatorship in Syria meets this criteria. Australia would like to remind the vast majority of the international community that in the fight against ISIL, the Assad Regime and SAA must not be strengthened, as this would mean the efforts and dedication of our servicemen would be in vain, in the event that one brutal, barbarous faction is reduced, while the other is bolstered. I am amused by the position of the Australian government. On the one hand, Mr. Truss states that his government is committed to creating "free" and "stable" governments, but on the other hand, his government is actively undermining the unity of Iraq by parlaying directly with the Kurdish Regional Government in its unlawful bid for independence. Unilateral military action, whether by ISIS or by the Zionists or the Americans, remains the greatest threat to peace and security in the Middle East. Our common effort should be aimed at de-escalating and terminating the conflict so that the people of Syria can enjoy peace. It should not be to escalated it by baldly violating international law and punishing the civilian population with bombings from thousands of feet in the air. How can Mr. Truss seriously state that Syria is a major threat when it is not the state freely bombing its neighbors, oppressing millions of people in occupied territories, and working diligently to partition Iraq?
