You must understand that we always will be a socialist government not a capitalist government as is the United States.Your demands are not ones you would make for similarly capitalist countries like china yet you are making these harsh and trying demands of my government. My government's gestures are not empty. Our reforms are real and should be taken seriously as we are attempting to modernize into the 21st century as a nation. If there is no middle ground in which we can come to true compromise then there is nothing more for me to relay from my government to yours. |

It is not my government that is not taking these talks seriously. My government has made it ABSOLUTELY CLEAR that we are open to a compromise. What you are demanding is not a compromise and is not even close to coming half way. My delegation came all the way to Havana for something that I could have explained via one phone call. It is you who are wasting my time. Good day! |
