Indian Carrier group to visit the Mediterrean The Ministry of defence announced that INS Vikramaditya and other ships are setting sails for the Mediterreanan for visits among other places Muscat, Haifa and Taranto on a goodwill visit to coincide with visits from an Indian delegation comprising of high officials from the defence, external affairs and trade departments. The Syrian crisis The Minister of External Affairs espressed his dismay and and deep concern over the rhetoric coming out of the UNSC about the Syrian Crisis. "On one hand there are threats on nuclear war on the other the wowing not to follow UNSC resolutions with a "compromise" suggestion to abbandon the resolution and adopt a new one that endorses the Turkish landgrab." "India hopes that the few remaining voices of reason within the UNSC will prevail and see to an enforcement of UNSC resolutions and an end of sabre rattling" The Minister further expressed that unless the UNSC starts to act in accordance to its mission of bringing peace to the world and as a forum of rational discussions on issues threatening world peace India would have to reconsider its participation in UN missions and projects and instead turn towards alternative organizations and bilateral or even unilateral courses of action. |

Terrorist attacks in France The Indian Government wishes to express its deepest condolances to the families that have lost loved ones in these cowardly attacks. India is unfortunatly well aquinted Islamist attacks and shares the pain of the French people in these days of sorrow but at the same time hopes that France will not resort to unilateral actions that will further divide the international community. |

German sanctions against Turkey The Indian Government is pleased to see the German Governments actions to try to bring its rogue ally to comply with the UNSC resolution. |

Iranian statements concerning Iraq The Government of India is deeply disturbed by the recent statements coming out of Teheran and its reckless attempts to ignite a Shia civil war in Iraq. The Indian Government further warns that any Iranian or Iranian sponsored attack on Indian forces in Iraq will be considered as an act of war and responded to accordingly. The Indian Government strongly urges the Iranian Government to reconsider its actions and statements before they lead iran into disaster. |

Indo-French exercises The Indian and French navies will be undertaking joint excercises in the South china sea that will include both surface and submarine units. Shipping is encouraged to avoid the excercise are that will shift somewhat during the exercises, to facilitate as little disturbance as possible the Ministry of Defence will post the precise training area two days in advance to inform shipping of what areas should be avoided. |

Chinese provocations Indian government is deeply concerned over the dangerous and provocative manner in which the PLAN conducted itself during the Indo-French naval excercises in international waters and wishes to praise the Indian and French units participating for their calm and proffesional manner in which they met the Chinese provocations which prevented the dangerous game Beijing is playing from escalaiting into a serious incident. The actions of the Chinese navy only shows the need for closer cooperation of the democratic nations in the area to meet the increasingly aggresive Chinese behavior in the region. |

Sino-Russian Treaty The Government of India is surprised and disapointed that the Russian Government for all practical purposes decided to end the close cooperation that has existed for 60 years and been a cornerstone of Indian security policy without consultations. |
