China has expressed interest, in light of recent Russian belligerence and the fallthrough of deals with India to re-evaluate its relationship with the EU. They proposed we start with a new trade relationship to clear the air and bring some stability to our trade and currency fight situation. We highly suggest this be moved forward and request the EU permit all leaders to discuss with China in a conference these matters. |

The United Kingdom supports talks with China, but we would like to stress that it must be a focus on free and fair trade, which means we need assurances that China will abide by such rules as international patents and copy right. |

Italy welcomes talk with China, but we agree with the United Kingdom regarding copyright issues. We believe we can gain from Russia losses. |

France backs any talks with China, it can lead to very positive results. However, we will ask for China no tu run common military manouvres with Russia in the Mediterranean Sea as planned, we think its a hostile act with nothing positive coming out of it. OOC: We should name one player to run the talks on behalf of the EU. Germany? Besides any bilaterla agreements. |

We thank all delegates or their support and are truly glad there is so much approval for what could possibly be a grand opening of ties between the EU and China. We will open the talks with Chinese consent immediately, and suggest that all delegates voice their views as a joint delegation: The EU is a network of different interests, and we should not pick a leader, but rather each note our concerns given our shared interest in checking Russia, protecting patents, and opening markets for our high tech goods in China. Soon, the talks will be up - let's change the Eurasian landscape as best we can. |
