![]() Israeli Minister of Defence Esteemed members of NATO, The State of Israel is not only extremely concerned about IS advance in Syria and Iraq. Jordan, our eastern neighbour remains to have pockets of terrorist forces roaming freely and unchecked. One placed just few 100 meters from the border to Judea and Samaria, which is protected by elements of the IDF "Nahal" Brigade and the IDF "Lions of Jordan" Battalion. The State of Israel proposes that NATO uses its close relations with Jordan in order to support the utter eradication of these forces and support the surveillance of Jordan's northern border, that unfortunately, due to ill-conceived Russia military tactics has allowed the development of yet another front of terrorist forces. Israel will of course support a coalition in such ways as deemed possible, taking the relations between our state and other parties into consideration. Edited by C.E, Jun 26 2015, 02:00 PM.

![]() Israeli Minister of Defence Esteemed members of NATO, We were under the assumption that matters regarding the spread of jihadism and containing this had highest priority within NATO? We request some kind of response from a responsible NATO member. Thank you. |

The situation in Jordan is a major concern to every member of NATO, in one way or another. However, it is especially significant to the Turkish Republic; therefore Turkey is prepared to commit significant amounts support to the Jordanian military, based on their needs. The United Kingdom asks that Minister Ya'alon show some better tact in his approach to diplomacy. As for any actions inside Jordan, the nation isn't part of NATO, and as such any assistance that is rendered is on a nation-to-nation basis. |

![]() Israeli Minister of Defence It seems the representative from the United Kingdom needs to evaluate his position as his Turkish ally is in complete opposite of the United Kingdom. Islamic State is a threat to Europe and thereby a threat to NATO, thinking otherwise would be a mistake. Also I wish to commend on Turkey's air strikes against IS and al-Nusra in Syria. |

Re-evaluate? What do we need to re-evaluate? I have never stated that ISIS wasn't a concern, nor that we didn't take it seriously. What we do take seriously is the propoer conduct of the action against ISIS, and we ask Israel to refrain from pushing Jordan into more attacks against ISIS without the proper preliminary works. We also urge Israel to refrain from any attacks inside Jordan territory. |

![]() Israeli Minister of Defence ...neither did I state that there was anything you needed to "re'evaluate".... Israel will do absolutely what it deems necessary to protect its borders and the State of Israel. We do not have the luxury of being tugged away from the conflict zone as does the United Kingdom. Neither will the United Kingdom dictate bilateral matters between the Government in Amman and Israel, if such existed. Other than that, I am very concerned and disappointed about United Kingdom reluctance to engage in a normal discussion on how NATO can better assist in the eradication of the terrorist forces of Islamic State and al-Nusra. We do however see effort being done by Turkey and the United States, France and Italy and we wish to once more commend on that. Continuing, we will use more private measures to collaborate with partners that are focused on fighting the enemy rather than discussing semantics. Edited by C.E, Jul 10 2015, 04:34 PM.

Martin Erdmann Permanent Representative to NATO Germany believes this is a massive crisis nad does not want to see any countries downplaying the potential of the Jordanian government to spiral out of control due to pressure imposed upon them by jihaddis. We will be deploying a full air wing and contingent and several support and training troops to the Jordanian government and providing logistical support. |
