The Republic of Georgia, hereafter referred to as Georgia, and the Republic of India, hereafter referred to as India, agree to the following treaty: 1: Free Trade: Georgia and India agree to gradually reduce tariffs by at least 10% annually until there are no tariffs on all goods traded in the economic space of the Georgia and India. 2: All current deals with set prices for all other nations will continue to be honored by the Georgia and India until their expiration. A: This FTA is in no way designed to undercut any specific agreement between any 3rd party and the Georgia or India. Trade disputes between other nations or entities and the Georgia or India are to be solved bilaterally between the involved parties. This FTA assumed no responsibility over any deals the Georgia or India has made with other parties. 3: Due to restrictions with India's laws regarding foreign investment in defence companies, this FTA specifies that any Indian owned defence company operating within Georgia must be 51% owned by Georgia and any Georgian defence company operating in India must be 51% owned by India. 4: In part of realizing closer economic ties, Georgia and India agree to streamline the process for nationals of Georgia to travel to India and for Indian nationals to travel to Georgia. |
