![]() Frans Timmermans Permanent Representative for the Netherlands to the United Nations The Netherlands, among many in the United Nations today, is very concerned about the situation between Venezuela and Guyana. While the Netherlands is not currently on the Security Council, it wishes to convey its' highest concern to the general assembly that the bickering and nonsense between these two countries must stop. The Netherlands has seen much recent aggression from South American countries, and would like to call on the general assembly for their opinions on the situation. |

Uche Joy Ogwu Permanent Representative of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the United Nations Does Brazil plan to pay reparations to Uruguay and make concessions to ensure such a thing does not happen under a future Brazilian government? |

Maria Gabriela Chavez UN Ambassador from Venezuela Brazil is getting ready to attack Venezuela if they do not get their way in the UN. We are a peaceful people who have been living since the days of Simon Bolivar. We want nothing more than to have the territory which is ours so that our little babies can live in peace without the threat of violence. Brazil leave us in peace! |

![]() Rosemary A. DiCarlo Permanent Representative to the United Nations United States of America Delegates, decorum! The Nigerian delegate has insisted on derailing this discussion, and Venezuela's delegation has had multiple outbursts at this point. Brazil has agreed to negotiations with Uruguay, hosted by the United States and it will be up to the government of Uruguay on whether or not they will take reparations from the Brazilian government. Furthermore, Brazil was invaded by Venezuela and has attempted to contact Venezuela to establish a permanent peace multiple times without response. I demand that this chamber get back in order as multiple delegates here have caused nothing but disruptions in these chambers! |

Maria Gabriela Chavez UN Ambassador from Venezuela Where are these attempts at contact? Where is the evidence? Venezuela is still waiting on Brazil. The subject at hand here is the aggressive way that Brazil is attempting to end our diplomatic efforts towards Guyana. We are pursuing diplomacy, we are working hard to solve the impasse with Guyana peacefully. Name one thing that we have done against the sovereignty of Guyana. Name one thing! You can't because you are liars. Just as Hugo Chavez once said, there is sulfur in this room and I can smell it coming from the United States bench. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOsABwCrn3E) The smell of sulfur is strong and the devil is present here. Do not mistake it, imperialism is what started in Venezuela under the yankee watch and its imperialism that is present now in Brazil and its imperialism that tried to corrupt our brothers in Cuba and we have resisted. Diplomacy is what we are doing and nothing more. |

![]() Rosemary A. DiCarlo Permanent Representative to the United Nations United States of America Here is evidence of an attempt at peace by Brazil that dates back to 2018, which saw no response from Venezuela following the failure of the original Treaty of Boa Vista. Venezuela has also only attempted a solution through the ICJ after cutting ties with the Guyanese government, much to the disappointment of the Guyanese government! It is also important to remember that Venezuela's "attempts" at peace in the ICJ including demanding that the courts give Venezuela land West of the Essequibo River, and that Guyana - an economy of approximately seven billion dollars, pay upwards of 1.6 trillion dollars in damages. That is some solid diplomacy from the Venezuelan government, fellow delegates. Clearly deserving of a Nobel Peace Prize... after invading Brazil late last year. |

Antonio Patriota Permanent Representative of Brazil to the United Nations That treaty was the 2nd attempt that Brazil tried for peace. Venezuela rejected the first treaty then when we changed things to better their liking Venezuela they refused to respond. Brazil wants nothing more then peace in South America but Venezuela rather act like a 4 year old who is covering it's ears yelling "BLAHBLAHBLAHBLAHBLAH I CAN'T HEAR YOU NANANANA BOO BOO". That is not diplomacy that it's childish behavior that is unbecoming of a world leader. Edited by Gabe, Jul 20 2015, 08:57 PM.
